hoping some of you experienced in computers on here can help me figure out what in the world is going on with my laptop. Just recently an incredibly annoying isssue has arisen. As I'm typing anything (on a message board, word doc, excel doc, email, etc.) the cursor reverts backwards into the sentence I'm typing or back up to paragraphs I've already typed. It moves text mid stream as I'm typing it. Any idea what would cause this issue on a laptop? I cannot get anything done on this thing having to go back and correct issues every couple of lines.
i have a similar problem with my satelite in that sometimes no matter what key i hit it acts like i hit the tab key.it's very annoying.lol it just did it again so hopefully someone has a idea of whats causing this.
Could be dirt, dust, and general clutter getting underneath the keys and interfering with the latch mechanisms that register a key press. Get a can of compressed air from Publix or Target or somewhere else and see if cleaning the keyboard out doesn't help. Depending on what kind of keys your laptop has, you might need to use a paper clip to scrape out underneath the plastic if there's some particularly stubborn dustball that won't let go. (And if you think that's disgusting, it is. Little known fact: keyboards are generally dirtier than bathrooms. Everyone uses them, no one cleans them. On that note, you might want to take the occasion to clean the keyboard surface with a light alcohol wipe, but that's up to you.)
