It's funny how everyone thinks the Heat won't be a contender with Bron, Wade, and Bosh. Seriousely, this is a better version of Allen/Pierce/KG. And they went to two finals.

I'm watching ESPN for the first time in months just to see if Bucher will come back on and continue to make an *** of himself. I missed the earlier segments.

    Rich Bucher's greatest hit:

Right after the 5 team trade that brought Toine, J-Will and Posey here...

    Bucher proudly proclaimed:
Not to be out done by one of his best moments...

Did you guys see Bill Simmons on PTI?

    he looked inconsolable.

Not to make lite of it. But My mother died a few years ago. Bill Simmons face looked like mine did for the week after my mother died.

He looked despondent. LeBatard was there smiling and loving life though...it was hilarious.

LeBatard deserves credit..he has been pushing the "Super Friends" idea for almost 2 years now.

Yeah whose the Heats bench then? If the heat can get a decent bencht hey should have no problems getting to the finals.

Kornheiser speaking the truth about people wanting to play with Bosh, LeBron, and Wade. Good to see him speaking intelligently.

Simmons: An idiot as usual, LOL.

The Celtics didn't have a bench, and still won. Buckeye, when you have a team of Lebron/Wade/Bosh, you're going to win.

I think a bench consisting of toddlers could probably hold the 40 point lead the starters half-efforts would have amassed come the 4th quarters.

Kornheiser describes Miami as a worldwide cosmopolitan city and asks rhetorically if David Stern would be happy if LeBron went there.

Bill Simmons gets this look on his face as if Kornheiser just announced that a meteor was about to land directly on Simmons' car.

I've been urging people to STOP listening to ANYTHING he says.

He got into a huge verbal war (don't know if the media ever caught it) with Pat Riley before, and Pat Riley was to the point where he almost lost his composure, which is something you never see. Pat Riley hates him and he hates Pat Riley.

Any time Miami is involved in a major rumor he shoots it down.

Funny thing about ESPN, in most major markets they have a "ESPN" branded effort for all of the pro sports in a city, such as "ESPN Chicago" or "ESPN Dallas" and I have to wonder why there is no "ESPN Miami"?

Miami has professional sports franchises for every major league from MLB to the NHL, and yet, they just never opened one?

So Dirk & Joe Johnson are going to take $7 million per year each? LOL!

Joe Johnson is being offered the max from New York and possibly Atlanta right off the bat at 12AM.

Where do these ******s get their information from?

ESPN actively hates Miami. It's that simple. Combine a Noo Yawk sports fan's arrogance with disregard of Miami as "the sixth borough," clutter up the screen with poorly done and intrusive graphics that indicate a high degree of self-absorption, and put it on the air. That's ESPN.

You're sitting on their source. Literally.

What is it with that anyway? What in the hell did our teams do to piss them off? I guess the Marlins beating the Yankees a few years back really pushed them over the edge. Pat Riley leaving the Knicks to come here. Before they had to respect us because of Marino and Shula, as well as the Canes' success in the 80s and 90s. But there is definitely an anti-Miami bias, not just in ESPN but in all mainstream sports media.

Barry Jackson's slant makes sense. If the Heat are going 3 max it makes sense to sell to Lebron first. When his sold you go after Bosh with the idea of all 3 sharing a small pay cut to play together. If Bosh is not on board they go to Amare and Boozer. It seems like Jackson thinks Lebron is in the bag already.

Personally, no. I think his game is inferior to Bosh's. He's a very good shooter, that's about it.

I would take Amare over Boozer and Dirk. Boozer to me just isn't all that special. Dirk no way in hell would fit here, Riley discriminates against foreign players and Wade embarrassed Dirk in the 06 Finals. Plus Dirk wouldn't fit our style of play. So no to David Hasselhoff.

But if I had to put money on it I'd say Amare and Joe Johnson are going to New York to reunite with D'Antoni.

Why the **** did 33 year old Paul Pierce just opt out of 21 million bucks? (Marc Stein - Twitter)

He'd be a decent pick up if we fail on LeBron, get Bosh, and go the "build a TEAM" mode. Wouldn't give him anything more than a two year contract though.

Any chance Pierce takes $7-8 million or so? He can't be looking for one final contract at age 33 in a potential rebuilding situation, i.e. New York. He has "winner" written all over him. I can't see him leaving Boston unless he's going to another title contender. Could sign Bosh, Haywood, and Pierce. That team would be championship ready:

    G - Chalmers / Dooling / Beverly
    G - Wade / Bell / Mason
    F - Pierce / Wright / Butler
    F - Bosh / Beasley / Vernado
    C - Haywood / Pittman / Anthony

Just a thought if we lose out on LeBron James, Joe Johnson, and don't want to gamble on Rudy Gay.

    BUT.

Hell no to him. He wants 5 for 50. go get it elsewhere Paul.
