Maybe, but I think he cares. I don't think he'd come here at all if he didn't care. It's WAY too easy to just ignore the whole message board thing, for a guy like him. I think it's part of his personality to care, in fact it's probably part of why he usually ends up successful in radio. It's not exactly a cost-effective venture to come to a message board like this and spend time reading peoples' posts enough to see the hatred they're shoving at him, etc...so that what, he gets maybe 1 or 2 more listeners?

I think he cares, I think he's a radio host and cares about ratings, cares what people think of him, he's just EXACTLY as people (even the ones that get along with him) describe. He's thin-skinned, has a fragile ego, likes to hear his name spoken, likes when people write stuff about him, etc.

 

El Sid's show is doing well he had the #1 Arbitron Ratings book for his time slot.

He's a pro, and right now there is no Dolphins news to be had so ginning up a Brandon Marshall controversy will suffice as the only news on Pat White was positive.

Now I will see, last season El Sid and Kannel on the post game show was some great radio.

Honestly it'd probably be a coup for this site if you had the edited thread (still locked) somewhere and let Florio read it ;p He'd probably post about this site 4-5 times as Florio likes to ride topics into the ground.

 

LMAO. I like where Mike Florio basically called Sid a "5 year old who should work at Wal-Mart".

 

Parcells must have kicked Florio's dog, because for years, Florio cant post something about the Dolphins without saying something negative about Parcells, or "thugs and hoodlums"..... except of course if its about his lovechild Pat White.

 

My question is why are you listening to him at all?

Some of us warned everyone when he first showed up here what to expect but if him coming here and posting that cry baby drivel didn't get everybody to stop wasting their time listening to his "show" then nothing will.

My suggestion is to tune out.
You'll be better off.
Let his NY transplanted lackies be his only support.

I get why you listened yesterday but I'm just sayin, it'd be a better S. FL. radio world if everyone just stopped listening to his show and he ended up having to crawl out of the market. Won't happen though because of the NY transplant groupies here.

Florio definately ripped Sid apart in that interview, so Florio can put a few negative Dolphin post up on PFT to even it out.

Sid proved he has thin skin. And its funny that he is complaining about stupid websites when its a stupid website that made Florio important.

And to Florio's credit, he was correct, we as Dolphins fans dont want to hear about the past.....there is so much invested with BM, he is either failing or suceeding....and the thought of failure is just depressing..

Remember from now to the last week in July (4 weeks) is the really scary time for BM, and all NFL players for that matter...only bad things can happen...it is the downest of downtime in the NFL

Which begs the question why did Sid choose the dead time to try and interview this kid now?? Why not a couple weeks after they got him?? Why now?!?!?! the one month where NFL players are more prone to blow it out of boredom...to try and jar this kids emotions...

 

My conversation with Sid was by email. The decision to remove Sid's access was a mutual one and, yes, it was a pointed conversation in which I said some of the same things that Florio said (sans the Walmart part).

Imo, its a classic case of someone who does not care about this team, or its players, so he wants to be negative on purpose..Its also a case of this team's fan's who love the team, and dont want some shock jock asking one of our players inconsequential questions, negative questions, that can hurt the player, or his family..

Bottome line, you try to attack one of our's, and were not gonna sit back and let you do it, at least i'am not.

Well one thing is for sure, Mike Florio had about a billion opportunities to rip on the Miami Dolphins and Miami Dolphins fans if he truly hated the Miami Dolphins as some people insist.

I didn't read the whole thing but it's clear that whoever it is intended to "prove" that Mike Florio hates the Dolphins in particular and as I keep trying to tell people, he absolutely does not. I don't think he has a favorite team and I don't think he has a team he particularly dislikes.

I agree with you. But in the argument with Sid, Florio IMO was more sticking up for the website world. Anything Florio said about fans thinking their team could win this season and being 0-0 and not wanting to hear anything negative at this point in the season could be said true about any other franchise.

However, its hard to ignore the amount of negativivity from PFT over the past few months. It could be due to the fact that Florio likes to beat a dead horse and doesnt know when a joke is old.

I dont think Florio hates the Dolphins, but I do think there are people in the NFL that Florio dislikes, and I think one of them is Parcells.

If youve read PFT at all, Florio numerous times tells what he does and where he went to school, and then it becomes pretty obvious with his lovefest for Pat White last year. So if you are doing enough research to find all the quotes from PFT that are anti-Dolphins, you should probably stumble over a ton of them talking about his legal background or WVU roots.

And a lot of stuff he says about the Dolphins, he would say about other teams. Hes pretty critical of a lot of players in the NFL, and teams.

 

I have never listened to Sid before.
I just cannot stand how the second someone backs him into a corner, he just starts yelling to get out of it. I can't stand when people raise their voice as the only way to win an argument.
