This. Fanhell is all about the love... and stuff. We just love differently. Instead of talking to each other like we're in priesthood, we tell each other to **** off and die. It's all in love though.
Since the site is still pretty new to you ill break it down...a lot of us have forged friendships that will last the ret of our lives and impacted us as people because of this site. If it seems a little too "mushy" at times we apologize bud, but consider the alternatives where people act like tools and you have trolls all over.... We'll move it...eventually Can we now refer to you as "The Ned Flanders of The Phins"? We could never ban you lucky because even when youre wrong...its just feels so right... no **** Nope, the sites in no trouble. Just the offseason so people are bored... And whats wrong with that? I just realized lucky's username is genius. It's "unlucky" but people call him lucky! Also Sam, thank you as its members like you that make this site so great! I enjoy your posts, especially the insight you post in the Wrestling Thread. Every time you post there i look forward to see what you have to say. It's nice to have a person who can talk experience and learn things you can't learn by other sites. I have been a part or many dolphin fan sites, this place is my home. This site has came a long way from drunkenpuppies. There are no one better than Mal and George and I can honestly say that. They had a vision and their vision has came a long way! It impresses the hell out of me to see how far this site has came in such little time. There is no one else i rather be a mod for. I would also like to say that ThePhins has one thing no dolphin fan site has, and that's Penny! ThePhins is without question the nicest looking fan site out there. As a graphic designer myself, I appreciate a good looking site, and there are none better looking then ThePhins! It looks very professional. Even though she is a red sox fan she does AMAZING work!
AMEN, Sam. Absolute hats off to Muck and Celt. Their hard work in creating one of the best run fansites should not go unnoticed. It is as nice a time as any to give a heartfelt thanks for it.
intellectually speaking...yes. but overall, thephins.com is the best site in the universe...or the galaxy...which ever one is bigger.
I think our Universe is part of the Milky Way Galaxy. The more I look at the name, the more I think a stoner thought of the name.
Great thread minus the people who are just trying to troll or push peoples buttons or simply don't have the ability to not click a thread you are not interested in. Great site and great people. Well most anyway. I spend the majority of my internet time here mostly lurking occasionally throwing in some of my own goon babble. I also like fanhell though I've never posted or even registered there. It can be very funny and often disturbing (usually in a good way) I liken it to something like watching a clockwork orange. Now on to other important stuff... all aqua or aqua tops and white bottoms. Oh yeah I'm that crazy.
As did www.celtkin.com. Although I will say that DP was blocked on my work computer so the name change was probably for the best, although that is a great website address to own. Somewhere, I have a www.celtkin.com sig on my hard drive. I actually got in trouble at FH for having that sig with the tag line "bring back celtkin.com" after the re-boot of 2007.
Drunkenpuppies.com was one of the first site to publish the boobie flash of Lindsay Lohan and of ... well, so much more. Because Google banished me as a NSFW site, I had to move the temporary forums to Celtkin.com. It was not much later that the founding members of ThePHINS.com voted on Walter's (Mindwarp's) suggestion for the moniker we currently use. We have grown from a juvenile-ish site that made fun of celebrities (Pre-preezhilton) to the penultimate Miami Dolphins fan site who has, as a spin-off, a juvenile-ish site who shares some of our membership. Full circle? I think so... Sammie, my brother, I thank you for this thread. FYI; the first two moderators of DrunkenPuppies.com was TheMor and Fin Fan in Cali.
wow 2007. Time flies. This site is what, 2 now? Like i said above, we came a long way! I will say 1 think i always liked about Mal and George is their stances on advertising. Yeah ads make the site money, [Cheap plug for ads] Don't be afraid to click on them once in a while![/Cheap plug for ads] but 1 thing thephins does great is the ad's are not annoying. There are ZERO pop up ad's. It's 1 thing they always been against, and the placement of ads are great, you barley know they are great. Like i said above real professional! From the placement of the ad's, to the icons and buttons to the orange jumping dolphin, everything is great! Hell what other fan site out there has a winter logo?
Hah! No one has racked up more personal attack points than moi*! (*and not been banned) Ah, DP (no not double penetration Sammie) was fun, a sort of home in exile, then Celtkin.com. I can recall dropping in on Celtkin.com and bumping threads, iirc Adamprez and myself chatted about Matty Ryan's Bowl Game in 07...but I thought there was a third site, after Celtkin and Drunken Puppies? A sort intermediate one? Clearly I have love for this place, where else can a Dolphins forum have such a kick *** World Cup Thread? Or a CFL gameday thread?
Agreed about the ads. They actually add (no pun intended) to the conversation sometimes too, which is hilarious). And fanhell has a winter logo of santa being um...shall we say, introduced, to Satan. But yes, seeing the snow on the logo usually means the season is among us when I log on.
anyone remember that chat room that was up when FH went down years ago? everyone had those spinny icons there was some crazy broad on there who set that up?
FH was hacked directly before the London game if I remember correctly. I am pretty sure Muck/Celtkin set up the chat for gamedays. I remember because it was the same weekend my house got robbed. And the blond girl who had the horse accident was in the chat all of the time, but if I remember correctly, it turned out that she was faking that whole thing...? Something like that. I can't remember her name but she had a "friend" on there as well. Can anyone help me out with this?
Some of our members got together to send her flowers in the hospital after an unfortunate accident. Then she was brushed by a horse whilst in a wheelchair.That was an overeach.I thought to myself that she was the unluckiest girl in the world or she was making the whole thing up. We suspected she was fake so we asked for a copy of her drivers license and she sent us one...which was also fake . She turned out to be a bored wife of one of our members .Her pictures were fake too . She did have a sidekick who helped her pull off the scam.Not her husband who was very embarrased and apologized. What some people will do to get some attention
In one day Zach Thomas played his last down as a Dolphin, Ronnie Brown was lost to a season ending injury, the winless Dolphins were destroyed by New England 49-28, and FH was attacked. I was at that game. That was one of the worst days of my life!
I'am still reading some of the threads on all the other sites, damn, there are so many of my friends all about, {I'am so freakin ignorant} I guess my lack of surfing prowess may have something to do with being computer illiterate? lol, I just really hope ya'll come back home as often as you can... I miss some of you guys already man... ....now piss off.......lol
