Just a Heads up, I am pretty sure we are on tonight at 7 eastern. I know that its funny how we are 18 and the jets are 3rd(i think), but it about the dolphins so I will be watching.
Disappointing, I think just about everyone on the NFL network are secretly Japanese dolphin poachers. And their evaluations are shallow and superficial, like a 3rd graders report on the president, it seems like they live on the tip of the iceberg and never check under the water. I don't think that anyone will ever confuse these talking heads with reporters.
Rich Eisen is the man, straight up. He is probably my favorite TV sports personality, and has been for years, even before the NFL network.
Rich is cool, thats why I said "just", he usually has our back and has some funny sarcastic remarks but guys like Jamie dukes, always seem to have a chip on their shoulder for some reason about the fins.
Rich Eisen is a Jets fan BTW, here is the link to the Dolphins' special: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-32-teams-in-32-days/09000d5d818d74cb/32-in-32-Miami-Dolphins
I think 18 is too low. I'd put them around 12. Henne's second year as a starter, the addition of Nolan and Dansby on defense, and of course Marshall on offense. Miami is easily one of the most improved teams, and they weren't bad at all last year.
I never get to concerned about the early predictions. Only time will tell just how good we actually are.
I hope they have a great year. One good thing is that the AFC East is going to be a really stacked division this year. I look forward to this year's division games more than anytime I can remember. Yeah neither do I. I still remember back in 06 when we got Culpepper many magazines had us going deep in the playoffs and one even had us in the Super Bowl. Many expert predictions rarely come true.
I think wherever the Jests are, they are way too high. They should be behind Miami.......................SWEEEEEP
Ya it was SI that had us in the Superbowl. I think that was the last year I actually bought into the hype.
Rich Eisen is the man! He is a Michigan Alumni and loves him some Henne. He does seem to be the voice of reason though. As far as the Jets being at 3........ The media wants the Jets to go all the way this year sooooo bad that they are trying to "will" them there.
Doesnt change my opinion of the man. His is as unbiased as them come....well take away the whole Michigan thing
I havent been keeping up. Seriously???????????? Someone has the Jests at 3? Is there a crack pipe involved in this? I wouldn't be surprised if they finish 3 in the division.
Listen to the video at 3:00 that tall sob talking about henne," what about henne"[rich] "henne, cough, well Brandon Marshall can make Qb's better" [tall jerk.] and last night how Marshall Faulk laughed at how the dolphins swept the jets, and basically said they won't even compete this year. I give the jets credit, they are a tough team, but come week three, there will be many commentators sitting down to to a nice steaming plate of their own words, with a little lemon zest.
Yes, Eisen is a Jets fan. Publicly known, just like how Chris Berman's Bills fandom is public knowledge. You're inserting and misinterpreting sarcasm and disrespect where none exists. That was a very fair segment about the team, especially when it was said that our question marks are on defense and those are holding the team back from being considered in the top tier; that's absolutely true. We're counting on a bunch of rookies and questionable starters along the entire defensive unit with hopes that Mike Nolan can somehow make it work. If it does, then we're a very good team; if it doesn't, we're not. That was a pretty good but not a great segment. It certainly wasn't biased. I'd personally have liked more analysis of Henne beyond "rocket arm," which I feel they're just throwing out there because they don't know what else to say. But that didn't ruin the segment. As for your whining about Marshall Faulk, he's been praising Henne up and down.
I thought the segment was not only very fair it was very accurate and they did a nice job of describing exactly what was good about our team and bad. Thanks decides for that Marshall Faulk video on Henne. I didn't realize from the angles and some of the things that Henne did there.. but they were incredibly thrown balls just like he said. Outside shoulder, boom. Low snap, eyes up.. boom. YAC, too. + Brandon Marshall? Jets at #3? Why, because they have Revis and Cromartie? They'll both probably be used to take away Brandon Marshall What about our other receivers? What about Ronnie Brown? What about Ricky Williams? How about the absolute cannon for an arm that Henne has? The Jets defense will be much like the Eagles. They will bring pressure, and a lot of the time it will work, but as much as I love pressure and blitzes and the whole nine yards a saying I believe is absolutely true: You live by the blitz, you die by the blitz. A good QB can read and destroy them. If you blitz a CB against Peyton Manning - TD. Now, I am in NO WAY comparing Henne to Manning (yet? ), but Henne will have had a few games under his belt, and any QB worth their salt in the NFL (IMO) needs to be able to do those things. Those crazy *** exotic blitzes are dialed up to fool OCords because the standard blitzes are being picked up. The problem with exotic blitzes is it leaves open exotic routes. We now have an exotic route runner. Brandon Marshall. Look the **** out.
This is the what the question really is on this team. I don't think anyone doubts the offense on this team. The real question is all about the defense and like you said if Nolan can make it work this team will be successful.
