    Yeah OK. Whatever, Riles.

We all know you're saying what you're saying so we won't be disappointed in case all of the chips don't fall.

But when it's all said and done come July 8th.....

    So they didn't move Beasley...

An assumption; they don't like Beasley. If that's true (I'm saying YES), then they're already thinking about moving him for the cap space for not only signing other free agents but also to keep Udonis Haslem. Gun to his head, Riley is going to keep UD over Beas 10 out of 10 times.

If they passed on the ATL offer and it was a legit offer (no idea, couldn't have been for Al Horford or Joe Johnson or Bibby or Zaza), likely something in the ballpark of Marvin Williams or picks in some draft, then Riley knows about a deal in the works (sign and trade) in which he needs Beasley as a trade chip. I do not and will not accept that moody nutjob is in the long-term plans for the Heat. To be successful, Beas will need the ball way more than he'll ever get it in MIA. He's just not a good fit.

Riley must be working something out for him that's better than what ATL offered.

In regards to the dudes drafted, I'm sure they're nice dudes but they have amongst the least impressive offensive CV's in any draft class. Hopefully they're working out something for a free agent with a low-post game.

I agree, but to be fair we're not looking to the Center position for offense. Particularly if we sign Bosh/amare what we need is a shot blocker/rebounder backing them up. Pittman/Veranado supply that.

If one of those guys becomes Big Baby the draft was a success.

My suspicion is that Marvin Williams was in the deal. I asked, and my source said he didn't know exactly who it was, but that it was a real offer, not BS.

BTW, Ira's dumbass speculating on Beasley being worthless and being pawned off on Minnesota hurts more than it helps.

As you can see, damn near the entire league tried to get him for nothing.

Seriously...again...15 and 7, 21 year old PF's that are still on the rookie pay scale have a TON of value.

That is not true. it is demonstrably untrue. We already tried to trade for Amare and used Boozer as a piece to go to Phoenix in that deal.

and he is not nuts. He likes weed. Big F'n Deal.

Michael Beasley might be the most unfairly maligned player in the history of sports.

Shh...Sect is certain NBA GM's read his posts to gauge value on Super Cool Beas...:shifty:

Kidding aside, could be Zero Value has been reached with Beasley, meaning what people are offering just isn't worth the value to be had by keeping Beas on the roster.

Lebron or Bosch or whomever doesn't wish to come to a completely barren team of "3 Amigos and 9 NBA minimum stiffs'..who would?

No...they read jackasses like Ira Winderman and others rip into him constantly and then perceive that there must be something wrong with a 15 and 7, 21 year old that has a friendly contract.

I know Pat Riley likes his rebounders, but Boozer being ahead of Amare on "Miami's list" shot down the entire credibility of that report to me... that simply isn't true.

    As for Adande's top 7, I'm guessing:

    - LeBron
    - Wade
    - Bosh
    - Amare
    - J.J.
    - Boozer
    - Gay

That would mean three of those guys for Miami, and two for Chicago. I'd gladly take that as long as it's not Boozer + J.J./Gay. I'd cry if that happened. I'd cry hysterically.

I'd personally be willing to put up money right now on Bosh/Amare + Gay. Just waiting to see if the Joe Johnson to Chicago for 4/60 reported "agreement" comes to fruition. If so, then I see Bosh coming here and LeBron perhaps going to Chicago to suffer disappointment for another 5 years without a low post threat.

Beasley has value. Just because he hasn't been traded yet doesn't mean he won't. It works the same as in the NFL. Sooner or later a team will get desperate, and desperate teams do desperate things.

    vs.

    G - Mario Chalmers
    G - Dwyane Wade
    F - Rudy Gay
    F - Chris Bosh
C - Haywood? Chandler? Jermaine? Anthony? Pittman?

I'm riding with our boys in a 7 game series.

(Yes I still believe in Mario Chalmers)

I'd be perfectly happy with Wade/Amare/Gay as our top 3. I'll take my chances against Chicago with that lineup although Gay would get abused by LBJ. Bosh/Amare is probably a wash and Wade beats Rose.

The fact that the national concensus is that the LBJ sweepstakes is down to us and Chicag with NY falling out is simply amazing to me. Just a testament to the greatness of Wade and riley. That's why I'm positive that we're not getting shut out come next Thursday.

As good AS Gasol is, he is not better than Bosh or Amare w/ Wade.

Other than Odom, Gasol, Kobe, and crippled Bynum...everybody else is a stiff on that team. and yes, I am calling Ron Artest a stiff. he is Quentin Richardson...which equals..."minimum stiff".

Rumor with Amare is he more than likely will need a second microfracture surgery sooner or later.

That procedure was designed for Senior Citizens not 110 game + playing NBA athletes who weigh 250 plus pounds.

Heat will not be shut out, no way Riles heads into the offseason with 1 guy under contract and "hope"..he's been around the block too many times.

I suspect like the Hinrich Deal, and like the ESPN NBA "Experts", there are ballpark offers in place that those dolts on ESPN have A) no idea about B) haven't considered due to the fact they only recently discovered 'gee, the Heat have alot of cap space"..brilliant that...:pity:

What gets lost in all these comparisons is that OUR SYSTEM is better than theirs.

Somehow..Wade and his band of "stiffs" (the media's word) were the #1 defense in the NBA.

    That is true.

If LBJ really cares about the organization he's going to, we win hands down.

The Knicks are just flat out awful as even Donnie Walsh is doing his best "Marv Levy the second time around" impersonation. And the Bulls have been putrid to mediocre since Reinsdorf and Krause kicked MJ and Scottie out the door.

The only question is whether LBJ thinks he and Wade can make it work for 100 or more games a year for the enxt 3-4 years. It's easy to put aside your ego for a few weeks at the Olympics, it's another thing on a random January 20th against the Minnesotta T'Wolves

It might be true about Amare but under the medical concensus he shouldn't have been able to come back and play the way he has at all. Maybe the man is just a physical marvel.

Even with his friendly contract and his 15 and 7, I'd rather have that cap space to bring back Udonis Haslem. I'm sorry, but Michael Beasley does not know how to play at level necessary to win a championship. When he plays, he loves to perform the "make a good play and then cancel it out with a turnover" move. I feel that he's still on the team solely because they have a sign and trade or some similar deal already in the works involving Beasley. As far as his mental health is concerned, dudes that are comfortable in their work environment don't have their staff ace cajole them to work harder and don't have to get enrolled in rehab and don't allow their desire to return to college leak to the media. The dude is just a bag a marbles, and not in the Ron Artest clown-college crazy way, but in the One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest way.

It's difficult though. It's the talk of the town. Everywhere you go, someone is talking about it.

WTF this? **** due diligence. Why is Dwyane Wade meeting with Knicks officials on Thursday?

    http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nba/news/story?id=5331131

I'm overreacting, but I don't get what the point in this is. Dwyane Wade has some explaining to do.

He better be going there for the sole purpose of staying in Chris Bosh's ear throughout the process.
