yea but it's not like we have to go thousand of miles. it's just across the border. might actually be a better trip than to Buffalo....
It's concerning because it looks like we're being shopped around. Hopefully I'm being overly pesimistic, but I dont like it.
or we can be a little optamistic. we are a team that has a rich history. 'course more than likely it's so Beefallo has a chance to win in front of the Toronto crowd.
looks like a Jets sandwich. and lucky us, we get to visit another foreign destination this year. i think it should coutn as a home game for us.
relax, its CANADA! Its only about an hour from buffalo, same time zone, and the game will be played indoors. Its no big deal!!! If anything, its a better deal for us! and for the fans... you americans are going to love out Canadian beer!!! haha I hope i get "accepted" for tickets, because Toronto is only 3.5 hours from me!
Maybe.. Can you imagine if both teams are around 3-9 when that game takes place. There is a cowboys-steelers game on at the same time, and if they are playing for playoff spots at the time, they could bump the game. I doubt it, but it's a possibility. We all know it's about how much money they can get from the nationally broadcasted game.
personally i don't think either team is being shopped around- it's just not a matchup thats projected to bring in much revenue at home. For the last couple years the NFL has tried to have an out of country game to promote football around the world. Though winning teams would be nice- the owners would brandish pitchforks (fans too) if a popular, winning team is played out of country instead of at home. cue in the crap teams...... A couple of years ago arizona(and the 49ers i think) had a game in mexico- Arizona rarely seems to sell out, the game would have little attention here, and both teams were sub-par. Why not send that game to another country, split the revenue, and make it interesting if only for the change in backdrop? Last year neither us nor the giants were projected to be stellar teams. Since the game wasn't going to be a sell out here- it was moved to london for media exposure of the nfl. once again- a colts-patriots matchup would be more thrilling- but that type of rivalry brings in excellent revenue- a weakened buffalo and rebuilding miami game won't-- unlesws it is marketed well. well, as in somewhere else.
I ran the cost of flights plus a car / hotel on Expedia and the packages go about $750.00 for a group of 4 for plane, car, hotel. I'm hoping we get a nice group package and bring that price down so I can but steak, beer, and goodies for my Dolfan friends!
Someone needs to explain to me how New England scored the easiest schedule in the league. Opponents have like a .387 winning percentage. Conspiracy theorists, rejoice!
Well they get to play our sorry asses (1-15) twice and the Jets (4-12) twice so that brings it down a lot. Everyone acts like the NFL set it up for NE to have an easy schedule.... this schedule, with the exception of times and 2 teams, has been planned for years. It's not their fault their conference is ****ty and it brings their opponent winning % down. Also doesn't help the % that the AFC East plays the worst conference in the NFC, the NFC West and the AFC West is pretty bad too, behind SD. Their schedule is the same as us, with the exception being we get 2 easier games due to them finishing 1st in conference. Our opponents winning % is higher because the Patriots one loss record counts twice, so ours is higher than it should be. We are what make their schedule look easy, and they're what makes our schedule look tougher.
I think this schedule is pretty sweet... I know we play a tough road schedule to finish off the year BUT we dont have to go out West for any LONGGG flights except for Arizona early... Chargers, Seahawks, Raiders and 49ers all at home... Only Arizona and Denver are long...
Our Skydome is just that, a dome. One more december game in a moderate climate. EDIT: Sorry guys, forgot the name was changed to the Rogers CentRE (notice the "re" ) It will always be the Skydome to me.
Does that mean the games on Astro-Turf?? Or does Rogers have grass? havent seen a BlueJays games in awhile
I just went to the stadium website and they have "Field Turf", synthetic and made to look like natural grass.
