OMG what a great thread! Hard though, can't narrow it down that easy and don't have the time to put in the work to explain each one, but here's my 5:

Jake Long, Big, lean, mean, blocking machine!
Ronnie Brown, even if he wasn't such fun to watch he is the nicest personality on the team IMO.
Chad Henne, Ice in his veins, going to be a fan favorite for a LONG time if we're right about him.
Yeremiah was a Bell frog, just always expect Bell to be close by if not in on the action/tackle/deflection/blitz/etc.
Lousaka Polite, MONEY on 3rd/4th & 1-2, absolute MONEY $$$. Love it, they know he's coming and they can't stop him.

Wish I could add Ricky Williams, Davone Bess, and Brandon Marshall. Expect to have to add Dansby soon too. Then Randy Starks. So there's my first 5 and 2nd 5. Best I can do.

Just for fun, I'll add some more:
    6. Chad Henne - it was very hard to keep him out of my top 5, as I love to watch him play. The most fun to watch Dolphin QB since Dan.
    7. Brian Hartline - he will be even better this year with more experience and with BM on the other side.
The next group for me would be from Odrick, Misi, Edds, Langford, Merling, Wake, Starks, Jones and Bell depending on how they fit in this year.

No disrespect to Chris McCoy, but to put him in a top 5 is ridiculous, especially over Henne. Then again it's your opinion and you're entitled to it.

Ricky Williams...The Black Ninja...A gentle Human being with endless depth, that will run you the Fu#@ over, or, hurdle your ***.

Ronnie Brown......The man does not look at the ball during the wildcat..He's figuring sh$# out while the snap is in the air....Elite talent....would absolutely love to see him play angry....just once...lol

Jake Long.....8 games into his rookie year, imo, he became the premier Left tackle in the game...People can argue the point all they want, I would'nt have taken another one in the league considering all factors involved {youth, leadership, Work ethic, Body, strength, technique}....

V.D.S.M...... If Ya'll would help me find a nickname for them, I would list them as my fourth best player, lol.... but I don't wanna mess with Trowa's data, so i'am gonna go with the Disease at #4..

Randy Starks...our best defensive football player for the past 2 years..

    1) Brandon Marshall (jumped around in the room when I heard of his acquisition)
    2) Chad Henne (hope he will become even better with BM now, these two are gonna be fun to watch)
    3) Ricky Williams ("fintastic" :wink2: player, please stay forever )
    4) Pat White (No matter what, I like this kid. Has to step up this year though.)
    5) Vontae Davis (At some point he'll be able to make all the plays (Revis should watch out :wink2:))

    And a few more:
    6) Brian Hartline
    7) Sean Smith
    8) Ronnie Brown
    9) Jake Long
    10) Reshad Jones (The future safety )
    11) Davone Bess

    1. Ronnie Brown, the long drives with Ronnie running the Wildcat earlier this year were awesome to watch, and the win against NE in 2008 was more important than Camarillo's catch to avoid winless season IMO (ducks from flying objects)... just wish he wasn't hurt so much
    2. Brian Hartline, not your prototypical #1 receiver but seems to always make plays when put in position, he is going to be feared by defenses for years, plays hard and smart, has "it"
    3. Ricky Williams, great story and history as a Dolphin, can still run over linebackers
    4. Yeremiah Bell, consistently anchoring the defense, makes big plays and stopped some touchdowns last year, tackling machine
    5. Lousaka Polie, bulldozing the way for R&R, Mister First Down

Gotta give a little love to Brandon Fields... a big consistent punter makes a difference in the all-important field position battle.

I hope we develop a ton of playmakers on defense this year.

You're right from a pure football perspective, but because of what he has been through in life, not football, I will be rooting for the kid. On the field I will be rooting for Henne more often because it is a given that he will be on the field more...

    1. Ronnie Brown: No matter what the situation he is put in i.e. demoted to second string and forced to field kicks, reduction in his pay etc. he always does his job with a smile and never complains.
    2. Chad Henne: I honestly feel this kid is the real deal and I look forward to watching him develop as a QB.
    3. Jake Long: I have always been a fan of O-line play and Jake's about as good as you're going to get at the most valuable spot on the O-line.
    4. Lousaka Polite: Devastating blocker and an outstanding short yardage runner.
    5. Vontae Davis: It was very close between him and Smith but I have to give him the nod.

I imagine Misi will crack my top 5 very soon, hopefully some of the other rooks and or FA's like Edds and Marshall eventually will too.

Glad to see the love for Lousaka Polite from so many. This guy was a seriously valuable player for us last year and should have gone to the Pro Bowl.

    3. Ronnie Brown
    4. Randy Starks
    5. Channing Crowder (for fan reasons, not because of his play on the field)

    1. Jake Long - Look how long we waited and looked for a franchise LT, We've finally got one!

    2. Chad Henne - Remember the struggles and the long search for a franchise QB, We've finally got one, who looks very promising!

    3. Brandon Marshall - Long frustraiting search for a franchise WR has finally come to an end.

    4. Chad Pennington - A good insurance policy who has loads of class and one of the big reasons we one a division title, finished 11-5 and became the first team in NFL history to win their division after only having one win the previous season.
And he wants to be in Miami.

    5. Davis and Smith - Remember the struggles we had in the defensive secondary and all of the disappointments that passed through Miami since Madison and Surtain. Hope has arrived.

Special mention must be given to Bill Parcells who is the catalyst for everything good that has happened in Miami since the dark days and the 1-15 record that put the Dolphins in the record books as one of the worst teams in NFL history. He's not a player so I can't vote for him but I can sure give him honorable mention.

    1. Ronnie Brown - When he is healthy there is nobody better. Tough, powerful, fast, and he has a nose for the endzone. Love watching this guy run!

    2. Lou Polite - Everybody knows he is getting the ball on 3rd and short but it doesn't matter. You can't stop him. Don't even wait for the snap. Just signal 1st down when Polite takes the field.

    3. Chad Henne - A star on the rise.

    4. Yeremiah Bell - I love the way this guy plays football. He is the most underrated player on our team by far.

    5. Brandon Marshall - Beast!!! Can't wait to see this guy making plays in a Dolphins uniform!

Lots of new faces this year. All with potential to become favorites. Dansby for sure. Incognito if he can get his act together. Odrick, Misi, and Edds should make an impact. Carroll or Jones could emerge.

1.) Jake Long - 10+ year Pro Bowl anchor of our O-line.
2.) Randy Starks - The best player on our defense.
3.) Brandon Marshall - Can't wait to have a WR catch 100+ passes.
4.) Vontae Davis - I see a good 8+ yrs and a few Pro Bowls in his future for us.
5.) Brian Hartline - Our very own Ed McCaffrey.
