TO, 35 yrs old and coming off of a 800 yd season is garnering -0- interest in the FA market, it is bad enough that even Drew Rosenhaus was on WQAM speaking about a discounted rate for TO and how he may have to wait until TC and an injury to sign with a team. What say you?
With Parcell's here do you really think that has a chance of happening before hell freezes over? Can anything REALLY humble T.O.? Why would any of us want Henne exposed to this fools venom towards his QB's?
IF that happened, and IF Parcells was onboard, I'd be ok with seeing how the experiment goes. But there's more of a chance of me winning the lotto than those two IFs happening.
I checked the temperature before posting the thread CR... That is sort of what makes this interesting to me CR, TO had lesser talent at Qb last season and he didn't blow up, neither did he have a "that's my Qb.. " moment. Besides, if the Eagles and Led Zeppelin can get back together, anything is possible.
No. I like Hartline and Bess next to BM wayyyyyy better. I may be crazy, but i really think we found a diamond in the rough with Hartline. He really impressed me last year. Im excited to see what he does this coming season.
Terrell Owens would simply not fit on our team. I would have said absolutely had we not gotten Marshall, but with Marshall, TO means nothing to the Fins.
If we didn't already have Brandon Marshall, I'd say absolutely. Not only would he be worth a shot, I'd argue we would desperately need his services at this stage. With BM in the fold, T.O. could potentially block the development of our younger WRs.
Well, BMarsh will draw double teams, TO one on one on the edge against the opponent's #2 Cb is a matchup he should win 99% of the time.
I thought this thread was a joke and am shocked by the support people are expressing at trying to bring in TO. TO is a cancer. There is no humbling of TO. I am dead set against bringing in TO. We have a lot of young guys and I don't want their guiding influence to be TO. I'm pretty comfortable with our receiving corps right now.
Well, TO would be more of a playmaker than Greg Camarillo is, so it would be a trade out of Greg C for TO.
TO as our #2 or #3 I would do it for a 2 year deal... I would let him know upfront your getting 3 balls a game... So he understands what the deal is.. You do not want him in NY or New England which I can see happening.
Maybe 'the Player' might be a better option than what we have, however, I just can't see Tuna signing off on that deal...
I'd rather give the young guys time to develop around Marshall. I think our WR corps is pretty good now, I don't honestly see Owens improving it at this stage in his career.
Well, recall that when Jason Taylor was signed in 09 Tuna said 'I'd sign LT if he would help us win games". BMarsh/TO/Hartline/Bess is a good lineup of Wr, objectively speaking.
Can't agree more, Pads. I just don't get why people are so quick to dismiss him just because we landed BM. So what, we're supposed to just scare the pants off opponents just because we got one stud WR? There is a whole other side of the field that needs attention, and I just don't see Bess/Hartline being a better option than an 35yr old TO.
In the short term TO would be an upgrade, and an instant one at that. He had 5 TD's with a terrible Bills Qb(s), can one honestly see Greg C scoring 5 TD's?
How can anyone say that our WR corp is good at this point? We haven't even seen how BM will play since his surgery. (Of course I'm expecting him to be great, but to rely on that would be very reminiscent of our thinking back when we traded for Daunte) Our WR were pretty horrible last year, so to say all of a sudden they are good now because of the addition of one guy is speculative. WHy not add cheap insurance in TO?
One reason is they have made a huge commitment to Brandon Marshal, maybe they wouldn't wish to bring in TO as a negative influence on him? BMarsh imho will be just fine away from the toxic situation in Denver, bringing in TO is a risk they may not wish to take after dumping 4 yrs 47 million and 2 #2's for BMarsh.
Is there such a thing as a humbled TO? I would honestly rather let our young guys get more playing time to help them develope...TO barely even shows up to play anymore.
I would welcome Wes Welker back before I would bring in that nut job. That's saying "A LOT" right there.
"Why won't the Dolphins sign me?" "I'm humble now, see?" "Why?" "I'm not that much worse than Rich Camarillo" "C'mon Tuna"
I could see Greg C scoring close to 5 or 5 TDs and getting us a ton of 3rd down conversions. Owens wasn't very good last year and theres no reason to think at his age that he's getting better. Considering all the things that come with having TO on your team why bother? I think we can contend without him and we have some good young WRs so it doesn't seem like its worth a serious look.
Well, maybe, I do think BMarsh will help Pat Turner's game tremendously, however the reality is, BMarsh will be doubled and will face #1 Cb's week in and week out, that and he is more or less a possession Wr. TO would offer a bit more as he produced with poor Qb play in Buffalo last season, I can think of many reasons to not sign him, improved production is not one of them, when we play the Jets, TO v Cromartie is a matchup I'd take.
kidding right? TO back with Parcells hell he chased BP away from the Cowboys TO has no future in this league absolutely no thanks
fine and dandy if you are one guy away from the SB but were not. fictional thread that has zero chance of ever playing out imo
Tuna/TO/Romo basically built the new Cowpokes stadium Killahp. Listen and think about what drunk JJ had to say: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBdHJNKFpD8"]YouTube- Jerry Jones Drunk Rant at Bar[/ame] "To get this ******* stadium I had to bring him in" Does one suppose that was not the view Stephen Ross may hold? In vino veritas amigo, imho a new stadium is the real game here.
