    Its crazy that it has been 76 years ago. Seems like just yesterday it was the 50th anniversary. Those guys from that time and era will always be thought of as true, true heroes. They literally helped to save the world.

    Not quite.You are off by 10 yrs .66 yrs-

    The sad thing is that most of the artillery salvos from the ships missed their marks and the soldiers were cut to bits landing on Omaha beach.

    Saving Private Ryan was pretty realistic about how it must have been.

    The British landed tanks along with troops and suffered less casualties .One of the many errors of judgement that characterizes war.:sad:

    lol I just went by Padre's fuzzy math above. I didn't even bother to look at it and realize it was off.
