Has to hurt even more after starting off 8-0. I was becoming a believer myself. I definitely didn't expect losses like this.
And what do you think Steve Nash, Chris Paul, and Deron Williams are? You act like Rondo plays dominant like this every single game and you can't make such a bold statement like that, that he'll shut down the likes of Nash, Chris Paul, Or Deron Williams after shutting down Carlos Arroyo, Mo Williams, and Jameer Nelson. I'll admit Rondo is playing the best ball in the Playoffs right now but keep in mind again who he's been up against.
I'm not just saying that based on his playoffs this year. I'm talking about Rondo's play over the past year. He's the best point guard, imo.
It totally sucks, to be so close to the Finals and piss it away like this is terrible. I'll be blacking out tonight.
Who wouldda thunk it? The Miami Heat played the Celtics the best so far in these playoffs. LOL Up 14 in game 1 deep in the 3rd..had a lead with 5 minutes to go. Blown out in game 2. Dominated game 3 and lost to a Pierce buzzer beater. Dominated game 4 and won. Down 25 in game 5 and cut it to 3 to made it a game down the stretch in game 5.
..that was me after some Dolphins games last season...sheesh..extra water, aspiring before calling it a night... I turned that game off and am Watchng the Nascar 1 million dollar all star race
SVG is pretty smart. You are getting killed on the boards..you are getting no offensive rebounds....you are getting all your offense by pushing the pace.....so of course...what do you do? You go to a smaller lineup...play in the half court set...and run yet another 356 pick and rolls when the Celtics have not SWITCH ONE all series long. SVG is stubborn.
It gets better... remember how bad Beasley was in round 1? well..he outplayed every single PF that played against the Celtics in these playoffs, which isn't saying much. Michael Beasley's 10.4 ppg and 5.8 rpg were better than: Andy Varejao Antawn Jamison Rashard Lewis Credit were it is DUE. Kevin Garnett is killing fools.
Russian Mobster and New Jersey Nets owner opened his mouth: Yep Mikhail....sure..."global" player. Nice try.
Funny, so how many of those 'stats' were compiled after halftime? When the Heat had the lead or were behind? With garnett on him or a reserve? In the last 5 minutes or in the 1st qtr? You are an NBA guy, you tell me.
You have to be kidding..again. he was a starter. Lewis is a starter. Jamison was a starter. Varejao was a reserve. Guess what? Beasley's PER was better than ALL OF THEM. He played 27 minutes per game. Lewis played 42. Jamison played 33. Varejao played 21. and like I said...the Heat series was closer than this Orlando series and for that matter, more competitive than the Cleveland series. again...facts are facts...no matter what spin you attempt.
No shame in admitting you don't know Sect. And that is the difference between a "compiler" and a "baller", heck even Tony Allen looked like a All Star outside of the last 2 minutes, however when it was crunch time, no Tony Allen.. BTW, I give a massive ton of credit to DWade for that series being close, as well as the Celts getting their playoff house in order, DWade is a thoroughbred and imho maybe more of a "winner" than LeBron. Dwade is going through one hell of a messy split with a psychotic girlfriend and a failed business venture, he never looked uncertain or hesitant, he was trying to win the damn playoff game.
and I forgot to mention that it is not even close. Beasley production on a PER basis is almost 25% more than Jamisons..and 100% more than Lewis. (yeah,,,double) Varejao gives him the best run for his money. Beasley has him by a couple of points on a PER basis. Loses on rebounds.
Thats because Tony Allen is for all intents and purposes as talented offensively as I am.and im a 5'4 17 year old with no vertical jump and asthma
No shame in admitting that your argument fell apart as soon as you made it and continued typing won't change it. Facts stay Facts padre. I guess you forgot game 3...since you are harping about "clutch" now.
When you ask this question: Which player had the best series versus the Boston Celtics? Michael Beasley Antawn Jamison Anderson JVarejao Rashard Lewis. The answer is Michael Beasley. and there is no "debate" about it. so why try? to waste time?
Still no qtr by qtr stats Sect? No Real Cool Whomever mano e mano stats? I suspect that Beas cleaned up when it didn't matter. And as I added a couple posts before, DWade is a ferrari and a "winner", to me he is a better playoff player than Lebron, with possibly a lamer cast than James has.
Since you did not even watch the series...then why bother debating anything? There was only cleaning up in ONE game..and Beasley did not play in that 4th quarter.
seriously....I want you to give me the names of every person that died at hiroshima. Because I don't believe that the Bomb ever went off. Pay attention.... The HEAT - CELTICS series was MORE COMPETITIVE than the CAVS or ORLANDO series. following so far? +/- numbers exist to show which player was most effective when playing. got that? The PER statistic is used to determine which player had a better performance if minutes are uneven. Following? When taking ALL of that into account...Michael Beasley played better than Rashard Lewis, Andy Varejao, and Antawn Jamison. Any further arguing from you padre would be ridiculous...and will cause me to think that you are not seriously debating this.
watch the games for ****s sake. I won't recap them for you in their entirety. If you watched the games...you would know the answer to all the questions you asked.
But I am right. again. I can smoke a crack pipe and win a basketball debate with Padre. Alcohol actually makes me not mind looking up the PER numbers I did.
As a magic fan, I am extremely disappointed. I give a lot of credit to the Celtics. They are winning with excellent play. Paul Pierce appears to be the only player who continues to use cheap tactics to get to the line. Celtics showed that if you take away Orlando's easy 3 pointers, they can't win by sending Dwight to the line all game long, even if he scores 30. Props to Boston, even though I still hate them for how dirty they played last year.
What a disappointing and pathetic play by Orlando. I have never seen such undisciplined play and lack of hustle. That fake out on Gortat? The lack of effort from Jwill to pick up the ball? They look like they shouldn't have made the playoffs! They will be lucky to win one game in this series.
http://www.peninsulaismightier.com/2010/4/30/1452001/looking-ahead-the-uncertainty-of Super Cool was also benched for the second half of the game the Celtics clinched the series in. Super Cool's playoff numbers regressed, and he was benched, spare me.
