that is ridiculous. zach was paid while he was here for his services
when you are done you are done
what kind of send off do you want
anyways you can stop crying now because your favorite player is going to retire a dolphin
they are doing it and people are still *****in'
pretty over dramatic if you ask me

I fully agree with Stitches on this. I love Zach and I am thrilled he is going to retire a Dolphin. But as for retired his number , He just wasn't 'that good'.

And in the end, it is as it should be. Congrats Zach.

FWIW, you can put me in the camp that thinks he should be inducted into the ROH too. However, I am on the fence about retiring his number. Kinda agree with LS13 that he may not quite merit that honor. Put it this way, of the three players who have had their numbers retired, two won two Super Bowl's, and the third is arguably the best QB to ever play the game that never won a SB. I love Zach Thomas. Love his loyalty to the franchise. Loved how he played the game. Loved how he studied the game. Love him to death. But, coming up just a tad short of endorsing him as being worthy of having his number retired. Having said that, I'm certainly not opposed to it. Put it this way, if it happens, I'm cool with it. But, if it don't, well I'm cool with that too.

    JMHO...

    Jeff_Darlington

Zach Thomas just arrived at the Dolphins facility, sporting a tie, with his wife & Katina Taylor (Zach's sister, JT's wife). Rosenhaus, too.

Well you're half-way there... The smartest guy to ever play football, Peyton Manning being a close second. Just ask Phil Simms... Non-stop motor and awesome tackler and playmaker! TD's, INT's, tackles... Wasn't the greatest blitzer but made up for it everywhere else. Greatest MLB of all time, including Ray-Ray, London Fletcher and whoever else you could drum up!!!

    These are his boys.

Trace Armstrong. Role model, father figure to me. Taught me how to be a pro. I looked up to him. Took Izzo under his wing. Taught us how to take care of their bodies.

Dan Marino - best QB on the planet. I used to call my parents when I picked off Dan Marino in practice.

O.J. McDuffie - tough as nails. Defensive mentality

I can't leave out Tim Bowens. He was my protector, he was unselfish. I couldn't have done it without Timbo.

Junior Seau - guy I looked up to in the pros. I've never seen so much energy in my life in practice.

I'm paraphrasing here. Really great stuff.

Naming off all of his defensive linemen.
