Give it up TrueDolfan because whatever you say is wrong even though that's your opinion. Everyone here are apparently pyshic and if they say Henne will be great, well then.......What I don't get is everyone is hailing Henne as the "Savior" for our franchise kinda like everyone hailed Lebron James the successor to MJ without actually doing anything. Its so hypocritical because Henne did struggle at times but I feel we've been waiting for legitimate QB for so long that once there is someone who has QB skills on our team, we desperately flock to them. I read where someone wrote that Henne orchestrated a game-winning drive against the Bucs but they all fail to mention the bone-headed INT Henne threw that put us in that position.

Since Marino, the best QB seasons were:
    1. Pennington (2008)
    2. Fiedler (2001)
    3. Henne (2009)
    4. Frerotte (2005)

Opinions can be wrong. The argument that we can't say he's wrong, simply because it's his opinion, is silly. I could say that it's my opinion that the sky is green. I would be wrong. His opinion that Henne isn't even the fourth best QB we've had since Marino is wrong.

I was talking about the general consensus which everyone thinks Henne will be an elite down the road and "TrueDolfan's" opinion that Henne will be only average. Opinions can be wrong if it can be disproven with a fact, and since predicting the future is not fact, the opinion of what Henne will eventually be is neither right nor wrong and that's why I don't get why TruDolfan is being called a troll.

An opinion is an opinion, but when you jump out there and say that a player will fail after watching him for one season, AND you provide not a single shred of evidence to support your statement then you'll be ridiculed, and rightully so.

Henne threw a bonehead pick vs. Tampa, but he overcame it and led his team down the field for the win. Drove us down for the win vs. New England, NY Jets and led us back from 18 down vs. Tennessee, on the road. Not bad for a first year starter. Henne also threw a bonehead INT @ Jacksonville, but two bonehead picks in an entire season is pretty impressive IMO.

One season is one season, but when you watch Henne play, you can clearly see he has all of the tools you need to be successful. Arm strength, accuracy, courage, poise, awareness, leadership skills, ball security etc. Like any QB, he has a few areas where he needs to improve but he exceeded my wildest dreams with how he played under ther circumstances he was put in. The 12 playoff teams from 2010 lost thier QB to injury for 6 games TOTAL. We lost ours for 13 games so it says alot when everyone is blaming the defense for 7-9 and no one says a word about Pennington's injury.

Great or Average isnt my take on this debate, as I posted, Henne is in the same category has a whole list of QBs that delivered a SB championship. He can accomplish that. Does that make him better than Marino, no....but he has the goods to be included in the list of SB winning QBs for sure. Dont care if that makes him average or great...it makes him equal what we need out of him.:hi5:

Here's my list of 5 best QB's to don a Dolphin's uniform since Marino:

    1. Chad Pennington
    2. Trent Green
    3. Jay Fiedler
    4. Chad Henne
    5. Gus Frerotte

Trent Green? Are you serious? He was awful here and was what? 0-6 when he got hurt?

    Seriously...Green was terrible...

And Fiedler? I'm sure we all like the guts he played with, but every time he threw an out pattern I audibly gasped or said "oh sh*t"

Dead serious. It's true, Mr. Concussion Head wasn't anything special here. But, I'm not just going by his (or any of these guys) time in Miami.

Say what you will, but I didn't think Fiedler was that bad. He wasn't that good, either, but he wasn't that bad.

Henne and Fiedler could be flip-flopped on my list if Henne shows me something this year. It takes more than what he showed me last year for me to put him above Fielder at this point.

    Trent Green's time in Miami:

5 TD's & 7 INT's in 5 starts ... all losses (not that you can totally blame the QB)
..but he was very pedestrian..at best
A lot like Ray Lucas in 2002, but I see he wasn't awesome enough to be on your list.

In 5 years, Jay Fiedler had 3-300 yard games. Chad Henne has 3-300 yard games in 13 starts.

Well yes, Green had a great career in KC but we should only be focusing on what they did in Miami. Otherwise, why isn't Culpepper on your list?

I don't think anyone has forgotten that. The fact that he was able to bounce back from such a bad mistake is what has us excited. Sometimes a short memory is a QB's best friend.

Because I can't stand Fumblepepper. I watched every game he ever played (until he left Miami), 'cause I'm in MN, and think he blows. He was one of the dumbest QB's I've ever seen, and he fumbled more than any other player I've ever seen. If it wasn't for Randy Moss, he would've never had the stats to trick people into thinking he was any good.

I still curse Nick Saban for being the idiot who chose Fumblepepper over Brees.

If we're focusing only on what they did in Miami, then Henne would be 3rd on my list, easily.

Chad Henne may not be an elite QB @ this pt. in his career
    however
    he's been carefully brought along
& prepared to play the game
by one of the best QB's
    in the NFL, Chad Pennington
    as well as
given the offensive tools to succeed
he made his bones last year
& will step up this year & play big
or he will simply lose his start
    to Pennington or the Thigpen

    Tom Brady
comes to mind when considering Chad Henne

    I agree w/ Friend GardenHead:
Since Marino, the best QB seasons were:
    1. Pennington (2008)
    2. Fiedler (2001)
    3. Henne (2009)
    4. Frerotte (2005)
    having said that

he is on the rise & has all the tools @ his disposal
    both physically & tactically
he should develop tremendously this year
everything bodes well for a positive result
or he will lose his start to Pennington or the Thigpen

    my personal belief is:

    the Iceman Cometh...in 2010

sanchez was last in afc in 3rd down passing. gannon spent a lot of time talking to sanchez about getting in early and studying.

LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont think he is better than Henne at all....Sanchez had the best defense and running game...that overcomes alot of mistakes...

And it's probably safe to assume he didn't have a ton of 3rd and longs given the strength of the Jets run game last year...
