first of all....its madden. a video game. this isnt that big of a deal. secondly, i ran 60% 3-4 30% 4-3 and 10% nickle/dime packages. besides, running the same defense (which i dont) is not close to the same level as taking advantage of a flaw in the game to win. its just not. your making it seem like its a base defense that i cant get past and iam fustrated. no. i snap the ball and immediatley iam sacked. thats bs. but like i said, keep running it, sure....im not banning it from the league (ill leave that to the league to decide) its just lame, and a cheap *****-out move to do it over and over again.
Havent played Abome so I cant speak on it.... But a nano is basically a pass rush generated because the OL (wich is the computer) is tricked nearly everytime into letting a man rush right in because of something as petty as "he put his guy 2yards back from the LOS and 2 clicks to the left" If someone is doing that, its quite "cheesy" although some people can counter these glitches...all in all it becomes more about what you KNOW HOW TO DO rather than gameskill. If anyone is doing stuff like that then I guess more power to them, but fact is Madden has became SO competitive that these "Nanos" are used religously at big tournaments and high dollar games.
You ran the same zone d the whole 1st game (just because its not high pressure does not make it not gay) and the 2nd game u change up a bit. passing to your TE all game is also pretty lame (but not a flaw GTFOH) but u don't hear me complaining you say ur immediatley sacked that is the point of a engage 8, shoot and if you don't like it go to shotgun smarty pants throw some quick passes keep more people into block,stop trying to run slow developing tosses and post patterns over the middle, do wat u did the second game and run screens don't start crying because im not playing to let you win. ( it crazy! I have played a bunch of different people in this league no one has complained but after i play u there is talk of outlawing my D) Sick im not changing my scheme no matter how much you cry. all i can say is practice and improve your game because as the saying goes "there is always someone bigger, stronger, faster, samrter, etc than you" (in this case me in madden)
Yea that is a nano, but what i did was a overload blitz sick would keep 5 guys to block 7 that is the reason his qb was hit every time. at no point in our game did his oline look like a carousel and let my players threw without touching em. like i said before use the line shift, if you see pressure coming from the weak side then keep ur back and into block shift to that side (vice versa strong side with TE) Dont start yelling that's cheap! don't keep sending 5 receiver on pass patterns protect your franchise.
OK, I blitz a lot anybody that I've played will tell you the same but I run a very varied defense, that's not the point though by virtue of my giving up a about 35 points per game you can tell I"m not very good at it Now let's talk offense people keep getting bent out of shape about flats and underneath stuff to TE's and RB's. Where is the beef with this? If everyone else is covered why wouldn't I take the open option? I'm sure as **** not going to force it to a WR just so I can say that I didn't dump it off to the FB - that's just ******ed. I average about 20 completions per game, (about 6 1/2 are to C. Johnson) and the rest are pretty even through the RB's, FB, TE and other WR's
Great point crappy look at all the huge plays my D gives up its a high risk high reward type of D so its not Cheap what is cheap is when someone complains because they don't want to adjust and feels like they are entitled to get the win.
So far everyone I've played has been pretty straight and I hope they think the same about me. Sorry Bo$$, MJD breaking 7 tackles like the Incredible Hulk isn't my fault, kid has a mind of his own. Of course the definition of "cheesey" I'm sure would vary between each person. Only thing I've seen to kinda raise my eyebrow was an out of franchise game where the RE was lined up right on top of the LE. In my opinion, kind of takes advantage of the CPU AI. Left side will block their side (nothing) and right tackle picks up one end, while the other is untouched. There are ways to combat that and it didn't count in the franchise so I didn't complain, but what you guys think? ps. Guys are really stealing Garrett Wolfe's spotlight.
As long as we agree that this "NANO Blitz" or any other Cheat is not used, cool by me....simply put, anything in MADDEN that the Industry labels as a "CHEAT" should be avoided. Its not whether they can be beaten, the take advantage of glitches and the INDUSTRY frowns on them to the point of labeling CHEATS, so just avoid them. All else is fair game and I agree "a STOP IT if you dont LIKE IT" type approach is fine...you dont like my touchdown dance...than stop letting me get in the endzone type response...just avoid any CHEATS as part of the reasons. AGREED???
Nano blitzes are cbeap to those who can't stop them. Honestly I do vote they are banned, though it doesn't impact me because I can beat them

Was that mme? Imo that's not a cheat or glitch because simply shading the line blocks them both, and a shotgun run kills it. Though I don't even do that anymore so its moot.

An overload blitz with people in the right place is a nano...I'm not saying you cheat or that you're lying. I haven't played you or seen a highlight of plays in question.
I'm not clear on what constitutes a nano. If you find something effective in the game that LOOKS like normal football you should be able to use it until someone can stop it.

He obviously very defensive about being called out on it.... but the fact is, google it, its everywhere. its a classic exploit used by guys online to boost their wins online (aka grow their E-*****) so let aboome use it, he obviously couldnt beat me playing basic defenses like everyone else does all i know is, i have wayyyy more respect for raffie, the dude beat me fair and square 2 years in a row, the kid does it right, hope he gets back next season. If its an overload blitz then its not a nano because the computer CANT block more defenders than they have blockers, Ive played people in the past who could nano and have 7-8 guys in coverage....thats shi--y because the pressure is generated by exploiting the OL ability to pick up things. Infact if he is doing an overload having not played him before I would think you could beat that with the slightest adjustment? Obviously not I guess if no one can beat the guy.. A nano is more about confusing tge blockers than how many guys are coming. I mean, it can make your line not picj up the right players as well.
Right but if he is bringing 7-8 defenders it doesnt matter how smart the computer is or isnt thats just strength in numbers.

I think it is a flaw in the game that is being taken advantage of. I do agree that it is also tiresome. It isn't 100% slam dunk defense that works all the time. Took me a full half to figure out how to beat it.
This is true in a sense. However in a normal blitz the OL will pick up the defender closest to the QB. In a nano they won't. Also in a nano you play delayed bump and run so the player actually CAN'T throw the ball to WRs.
yea, receivers are not smart enough to break their routes. Aboome would also move the safety over to bump and run with the tight end.
I have the biggest logistic question of the bunch here. Let's say that we play the Saints. How can we really substantiate the claim that the loss was because of this "nano" thing? It isn't like you can reverse the outcome of a game. If it's a clear cheat or exploit then I'm all for "banning" it from the league (in so much as you can ban this type of thing - kind of an honor system). If it's a certain legit play that just has people pulling their hair out it's another thing all together. It's up to the consensus I guess to determine which. All I give a damn about is playing is a straight up league played within the boundaries of what we all consider reasonable. All I'm saying, and I'm not saying that any of you ARE doing this is let's just make sure we don't lynch the guy for beating us because we lost instead of because there were questionable tactics employed.
I dont play man all game and my boundary cb dont press the wr I would user bump ur te yall talking about a flaw how about any run of the mill TE beating a allstar mlb like Urlacher or Vilma yea there is no double standard. go look at the video of the Jets video I posted and tell me they pick up all the inside rushers first. by the way aint u the guy that grabs Ernie Sims and goes to the opposite side of the field because the oline dosent pick u up, unless the player shifts his line, my A gap blitz does the same thing so Alex dont throw rocks when u live in a glass house bro okay my next opponent tell me what D to run so I can make u happy, I will drop all my players into coverage so u can run tosses and I can give u all the time u want shoot u'll have time to make a nice Martha Stewart cake for all I care.
