    Mike Knox got released too.

The reason Mickie James was released was because she was late to get on the bus in European multiple times and had already been in the dog house (the main reason why she was moved to Smackdown was punishment). So the WWE got mad and just released her.

Also Matt Hardy is making bizarre Twitter posts leading to speculation that he might be next.

Apparently there are commercials that started airing featuring Jack Swagger, Rey Mysterio, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase for the Smackdown brand which is leading people to believe that both Rhodes and DiBiase will be drafted to SD tomorrow.

Also Batista might have wrestled his last WWE match. There are no plans for him through Summer Slam and his contract expires at the end of the summer.

Nice to see the Hart win the tag titles, hopefully they will be given a nice push with the belts. I think the WWE made the right move there as they need to start pushing The Miz as a solo act now.

The Hart Dynasty didn't win the titles...just a title match. But it appears that their push will continue which is nice.

Looking at the results, the appropriate people seem to have won. CM Punk, Swagger, Cena, Sheamus, Hart Dynasty, etc.

And tonight is the draft so it should be a total reset for both brands. With Batista seemingly on the outs and HHH leaving to make a movie, the younger guys like Sheamus and Swagger appear to be the guys that the WWE is pushign on their respective brands.

Don't be surprised if Sheamus is the next challenger for Cena, while Orton shifts to SD to pursue Swagger further. Also, I would like to see Christian finally get a break in the upper mid-card/main event scene, but I am not holding my breath.

Kofi Kingston is a wildcard for me as well. I think we will know where he stands after tonight.

I am also intrigued on who the newest member of the SES is. Seems to be a white guy and has some size to him. Could it be Joey Mercury who is under contract? Nobody seems to know who it is at this point which is odd since most of these things leak quickly.

Oops. My bad, I read the results quickly and figured since they won and it was at a PPV it was for the titles. With that being said, they should still be given the titles and have a run with them sooner than later, so The Miz can focus on his solo act.

I also agree that the results of last night's PPV went to the right people. I'm glad Sheamus went nuts and destroyed Triple H. If only they let him do that while he was champion maybe he could have been given a better shot at getting over.

I actually hope Sheamus goes over to SD, while Orton stays on RAW but that's more about personal reasons since I'm not a huge Sheamus fan and I've been digging Orton a lot for the past 6 months.

I will say though that just 2 months ago RAW was stacked with main event faces and now with HBK and Triple H gone, there's only Cena left. I wonder if Orton will stick around or if the WWE will move Edge back to RAW as a face for now.

Anyway the draft should be interesting, although it would never happen but I think it would be extremely funny they announced that Matt Hardy got drafted to OVW (or whatever the name of their development program is). It would be a nice ego trip for him, especially since he seems really into himself lately (even more so than usual).

Yeah, not sure exactly how they are going to handle the draft tonight, if it is the winner of the matches get a draft pick for their brand or what, but the draft show always is appointment television for me.

Batista is rumored to be staying until the end of May now, so I assume Cena/Batista will still be on Raw for the next month and that might be long enough to have Orton go to Smackdown and by the time Batista leaves, HHH may be back and ready to go after Cena's title once he blows off the Batista rivalry.

That pushes Sheamus down a little bit, but maybe you have Kofi battle with Sheamus over the summer in the meantime and have those two programs carry the Raw brand for a while (Cena-HHH, Sheamus-Kofi). The reason I am okay with that is that is forces the WWE to develop a real life mid-card. Sheamus and Kofi are talented enough to get over with their ringwork as well if given time.

The bottom line is that, the WWE has a chance tonight to shake things up like they do every year and for new, interesting matchups. Lets just hope they see it through.

Kofi Kingston, Kelly Kelly, The Big Show, and Christian to Smack Down. R-Truth, Edge, Chris Jericho, and John Morrison to Raw.

My thoughts on the draft: I freaking LOVE how Jericho, Edge and Morrison are on RAW now. All I needed to get my night complete would be for Punk to join RAW as well. All the moves so far minus Kelly Kelly (because really who cares) have made sense and should help everyone out. Especially Morrison, Kofi and Christian. It is too bad that we won't get an E & C reunion though. But I'm glad Edge seemingly turned heel now, as he's a much better heel and RAW needs main event heels in the worst way.

Once again Smackdown gets the short end of the stick, which always happens in these drafts. I really think Sheamus should go to Smackdown now as he's going to be lost in the heel shuffle now with Jericho and Edge there. And Batista for at least another month. I think it would really help him out to be such a dominate figure there and maybe work a feud with The Undertaker when he returns until Triple H is back.

Remember the supplemental draft is 12pm tomorrow. I'd have to think that MVP, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase get moved tomorrow. Along with a few divas and midcard non factors like Chavo or Matt Hardy types.

Also just looked back at some of our pre-draft predictions, we did a pretty good job so far.

  16. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

I watched up until halfway through the Swagger match and then my feed crapped out. I know it was a special show and all...but I really think the lack of a guest host made it even better. Everything seemed to flow really well and te parts I missed, I was able to watch after the fact and confirm. Quite possibly the best Raw in a LONG time.

Edge turning heel is a must, but with Jericho on Raw as well, it will seemingly push Sheamus down a little bit. But I like what they have done with him. With Orton looking like he will face off with Edge for awhile, and Cena pre-occupied with Batista, I am not sure where Sheamus fits in if HHH is out for awhile. Maybe Jericho? The problem with that is that heel vs. heel matchups rarely work and tend to kill a crowd. Morrison? Logic would state that Sheamus would go over rather handily which absolutely kills your new addition. But seeing as how he jobbed out tonight already, maybe it doesn't matter.

I wouldn't mind a cros spromotional feud with Misterio as Rey can bump like a savage for him, but his issue with Punk isn't over I don't think. Speaking of which, I am predicting Vance Archer as the masked man for Punk's SES.

As for Smackdown, they get raped of top talent as usual, but the good news is, the kids, will once again, shine. Swagger and Punk are the top heels, and Kofi and Christian appear to be primed to fill out the top of the babyface roster alongside Rey and Big Show. Undertaker is such a part time player these days that it is hard to consider him a main eventer anymore. Special attraction is more apropos.

I predict Cody and Carlito going to Smackdown and some diva talent switching to Raw. Maybe someone like Shad or JTG switching over as well.

I think the person who suffers the most is R-Truth whose act probably will die somewhat on Raw...and Evan Bourne who REALLY could have used a switch to Raw as a way of freshening up his character somewhat.

But so far, I consider this the best draft they have done so far. It felt less contrived and the execution so far is pretty much flawless.

I missed most of Impact. I flipped over to see Kevin Nash yelling backstage with Scott Hall and Ric Flair bleeding like a stuck pig...and moved on.

  17. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

Oh and would it have killed them to show Christian packing his stuff after being drafted and walking out, only to run into Edge bringing his stuff INTO the locker room? I just think that would have been a cool little segment. Maybe have Christian wish him luck and "not to do anything he wouldn't do." With Edge responding, "I'll try."

Would have been an awesome foreshadowing for later on actually.

Also, with Morrison on Raw now and Miz losing his tag titles and his partner. It would be great to see Miz coem out next week, trash Big Show and basically take credit for the success of the team and carrying Show. And then throw down an open challenge to the Hart Dynasty that if he can get a partner, than he invokes his rematch clause.

Everyone refuses to team with him, so he is stuck with Hornswoggle...and he loses. The next week? Santino. Loses. Finally, he somehow convinces Morrison to join forces with him and they make a legit run at the title again...? Or perhaps Morrison agrees...but only if Miz agress to put his US title on the line against Morrison someday. Miz agrees thinking that there is no way he asks for a match while tagging with him. Miz leaves him out to dry for a Hart Attack. Then invokes his US title bout. Starship Pain, 1-2-3 and Morrison is your new U.S. Champion and he and Miz have a legit all out feud they should have had a year ago.

I'm down with that Miz/Morrison angle for sure. Morrison should absolutely get first crack at the US title and those 2 guys should start up a feud asap.

The more I think of it, the more I don't get why Sheamus is still on RAW. He really should move to Smackdown where he could either be the main heel or at the very least #2 behind Punk, even over Swagger. Sheamus could start a feud with the new face Big Show for awhile then move on to Rey Mysterio or the Undertaker and then finally Triple H when he comes back. He's just going to get lost on RAW now especially considering how over both Jericho and Edge are with the crowds.

And yeah, E & C should have had a short little exchange just for the hell of it.

with Batista gone, HHH taking a break, and the ShowMiz broken up, the Miz push is going to be fun to watch.

that said, RAW is stacked right now after the draft! and i am glad of it, because Smackdown will almost HAVE to rely on Punk and the SES in a huge role as heels.

Agreed. I think it's great news for Punk since I don't think the WWE is really serious about pushing Swagger. Hopefully Punk takes the ball and really runs with it now. I'd love to see a Punk/Kofi feud this summer.

I'd very excited for the RAW side of things since seeing Jericho/Edge feud with Orton/Cena should be great. And really fresh (well minus another Cena/Edge feud but I will admit they do put on good matches together). Hopefully Morrison gets a fresh start and nice run too.

Supplemental Draft Picks so far (I'll try to keep updating this):
-Great Khali and Ranjin Singh go to RAW
    -Chavo Guerrero goes to Smackdown
    -Cody Rhodes goes to Smackdown

The Khali move is kind of surprising since I could have sworen I read he was taking time off. Plus doesn't it make sense to keep him on Smackdown so he could feud with Big Show or something like that? I mean he's kind of dead weight on the roster as it is. Not a big deal, I guess.

Moving Chavo and Rhodes are obvious choices, especially with Rhodes.

  22. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

Khali (a friend of mine) IS taking time off. He is just going to be on RAW once he returns.

Chavo and Cody to Smackdown sort of makes sense. Cody was one of my picks as the masked man for Punk, but I think the guy is too big to be him. And Chavo is someone who will always seemingly have a job (last one from the Invasion angle) and it make sense to put him on Smackdown with his aunt.

Natalya to Raw, which I think is a good move if she starts wrestling. It doesn't break up the Hart Dynasty either since they can hop shows.

Chris Masters and his dancing boobies go to Smackdown...I forgot he was employed.

    Punjabi Playboy.

His name is Dalip Singh. When I broke into the business as a skinny 17 year old kid, he was the first guy I saw in the ring on my first day of training. He was throwing around this little guy like a rag doll.

Anyhow, we ended up training together for a long time, road trips, setting up rings, going to the gym (which is a site to see) and eating at restaurants (and even GREATER site to see).

We haven't spoken in years at this point, but we were pretty close when he first came to the states and I still consider him a friend.

Ezekiel Jackson to Raw. He has a torn quad currently I think so he will be out for a while ala Khali.

I think I like what they are doing here. They are drafting guys to Raw who won't be there for a long time, meaning they are essentially shifting pieces to Smackdown and fleshing out that roster while paring down Raw's.

Goldust to RAW? Seriously Goldust is still around? I think it might have been better for Cody Rhodes to establish himself on SD by beating up Goldust or having a mini feud with him first.

    Hornswoggle is on SD now.

Yeah makes total sense. I'm worried that leaving DiBiase on RAW will hurt him since he's at best the 5th most important heel on the show now after Jericho, Edge, Sheamus and Miz. There's really nothing for him to do on the show right now unless they try to turn him face. I'm surprised he wasn't move to SD (or maybe he was I haven't seen any of the picks after the Harts).

But that is an okay spot to be in. He isn't going to be any higher on Smackdown with Swagger, Punk, McIntyre and a couple of others. He can milk this search for Virgil thing for a little while longer and eventually build himself up over time, which is what they need to do with him.

I also wonder what is going to happen to the NXT guys as I think Barrett and Bryan are locks to be on the roster and the outside shot of Slater and Otunga as well. And Justin Gabriel seems like almost a lock too.

    Ratings:

    RAW = 3.1
    Impact = .5

Ouch. Moreso for TNA, but the ratings audience was down as a whole. Not good considering RAW was coming off of a PPV and had one of its marquee broadcasts last night.

And Impact looks to be dieing in front of our eyes. But I suppose when Ric Flair is in your main event in 2010...you have no one to blame but yourselves. Realistically, they weren't going to compete with the WWE for AT LEAST a year, if not longer, but egads...you can't have your rating going the opposite way in the meantime.

Looks like you got your wish Samphin, according to early reports of Smackdown, Edge & Christian had a segment together.

Also Big Show KO'ed Jericho to officially turn face and he's going to be Jack Swagger's next opponent for the title at the next PPV.

TNA has lost all appeal to me. As much of a life long fan as I am of Hogans,,,he is ruining the show. TNA was built on the foundation of the younger guys who make names for themselves without needing to be pushed by a Hogan or a Flair. Styles, Joe, Daniels, on and on...its just a watered down WCW to me now.

apparently HHH pulled a rib on Lillian Garcia when she guest announced the show a couple weeks ago. i vaguely recall him saying something about her being allowed to come back on RAW and "horse around," followed by Lawler making horse noises on air.

it seems that Lillian, unbeknownst to her until that night, has the nickname of "horseface" behind the curtain. and HHH saw fit to bring that out to her on TV.

if she already knew about it, then to me it was a good, subtle rib. but if not, it's kinda cruel.

and apparently the dude has no sense of irony. there is a pretty good chance that behind the scene HHH is ALSO called horseface. does he not own a mirror???

Looks like the Monday Night 'War' is over:

According to Dave Meltzer, tonight's big announcement on TNA is that the company will be moving Impact back to Thursday nights. This is due to the "disastrous" rating from last week.

Kind of sad news, I mean I hadn't watched a single minute of TNA in years but I was hoping they'd do well and make RAW better because of it. This just shows the WWE is the top dog and won't be challenged for a long, long time. I'm sure the WWE is going to brag about this.
