our first 3 picks will be starting for us and he didn't even mention a possible steal for us in reshad jones whom may also start for us. meh,another writer looking for flashy names but you almost got to agree with it considering a few of the players we passed over.i'd give it a c+/b- with great potential to rise within the next few yrs. im happy with what we've done.
Not one sexy pick... You get grades for sexy picks, and players highly marketed going into the draft.
The real question here is why are we grading drafts that just happened instead of waiting a few years and seeing how they play out?
Rob Rang is pretty good. If you look down through his rankings he just graded hard ,C+ is about his average ranking. I only think he gave out one A and that was to Seattle who had two 1st rounders. I would have given us a B. A good solid draft.
I think draft grades should be pass and no pass. None of these A-F crap. If you don't do anything truly stupid (like reach for a player in a position you don't need) then you get a pass. True grades come out years later. Remember Casserly picking Mario Williams? He's only had 35 sacks the last 3 years.
I'm withholding comment until I see Mel "Manning is 3% better than Leaf" Kiper's picks. If he grades us an F then I'll be wholly confident in this team's ability to win a Super Bowl.
he also gave the niners an A...the other team who had two 1st rounders. We took a lot of the same position in this draft and that annoys most draft gurus. to them it doesn't make sense to stack a position like we've done with DE, OLB and ILB in this draft. But ultimately, it's pretty smart football.
