seriously good stuff there. ...i know this sounds cliched but it really does seem hes changed... conversations between him and Ricky should be interesting.
I Agree bro. He mentions his wife alot and everything. looks like he's really turning the corner at this time of his life.
If I were the Phins I would hire a full-time bodyguard to keep an eye on Marshall when he visits the clubs, just to make sure he gets home alright and to make sure nobody pops off on him. I feel sorry for most of these guys as they often attract problems through no fault of their own, as $$$ attracts flies on ####. But you just have to be smart when you are out in public and have thick enough skin to walk away at times. Hopefully Brandon has grown up and will become a model citizen and show all the doubters they were wrong.
if i were the dolphins i would hire someone to make sure he has no need to go to the clubs",also a driver for when he wants to go somewheres at 2 in the morning.
Good luck in your new marriage. Hopefully you picked a good one that can keep you grounded and focused on the better aspects of life.
That's what the Cowboys did with Pacman Jones, and look where that got him...Athletes will do what they want to do when they want to do it.. Bodyguards cant make the decisions for them, they just make sure no one touches them.
Let's see this guy's actions over the next year, then decide if he has changed. Phenomenal football player, but a scumbag thug until proven otherwise. Actions speak louder than words, Brandon.
He is in for trouble if he thinks it's hard because the media keeps bringing it up. He just lit a fuse on alot of reporters, who will now ask twice, every single time they get the chance.
I agree with this. Good luck to you and yours with holmes. I know he's not as bad as marshall, but man he's done some stupid ****
I agree with him, people just need to stop asking him about it.....just let him be...and ball out for us..
His reputation was why I originally didn't want him. I just didn't want to take a chance on him getting in trouble and getting suspended or causing problems in the locker room. But my feelings have changed dramatically on him. I really think he's matured and can be a better person here. He's already shown good signs by saying the right things and participating in team activities. I am behind him 210%.
You talk as if you want him to succeed or your a Dolphins fan. I don't get it. You might be cool with the other cats here, but your still a Jets fan to me. Don't you have a RB problem to worry about on YOUR team or something?
I'm just worried what could happen if he goes through a divorce. Really, not trying to be smart or anything, but he attributes his new attitude and behaviour to his wife, who he said has done so much for him. It could devestate him if things don't work out with his wife. Hope it doesn't get to that, but I also hope he remains strong in the event that it does.
Shonn Greene looks to be the real deal. Running back by comittee with LT coming in could be dangerous.
Yup. LT gets to run behind a far superior run blocking O-Line, and is not the feature back anymore. For those who want to say "LT is washed up," keep in mind, Darren Sproles didn't even average 4 ypc behind the Chargers OL.
@PS17: I am trying to figure out what you are doing on a MIAMI DOLPHINS forum. I'm not in your house eating out of your fridge, so why are you in mine. None of us want your obnoxious JEST opinions polluting OUR forum. You would have much more friends there, so get the heck out of here. Come September when the JEST fail epically and everyone turns on you, and all the hype fades away (like LT's career), and Java the hut puts on thirty pounds of worry weight, I'm coming to your forums and repaying the favor.
50 million, a new Franchise & wife is enough incentive for anyone Marshall will do just find under the watchful eye of Parcells & Co. not to worry! unless,of coarse you have to defend against him
Dude, uncalled for. PS17's opinion is just as valid as yours regardless of fandom. And please, do not speak on the forum's behalf, especially when you are making an *** of yourself.
I read an article a few weeks back thats if he does anything against the nfl he will be suspended for 1 year ? anyone know the history to that ?
We are an open forum that allows people from all teams to post here, as long as they are respectful. PS17 has been nothing but respectful here. If you have a problem with it maybe you should be the one to leave.
Actually the main difference as far as I can tell is that Holmes has had more trouble with the law. ......"Holmes was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida on May 27, 2006 for disorderly conduct. Charges were subsequently dropped after Holmes paid a fine. Holmes was arrested for a second time on June 18, 2006 for domestic violence and assault in Columbus, Ohio. On July 7, 2006, Holmes appeared in Franklin County Court in Columbus, Ohio for both a pre-trial regarding the domestic case and hearing regarding the traffic ticket. He plead no contest to the traffic ticket and agreed to pay a fine. While Lashae Boone, the mother of Holmes' daughter and the victim in the assault case, requested that the domestic violence and assault charges be dropped, the prosecutor refused. Boone and their daughter accompanied Holmes to court. The charges were later dropped. On October 23, 2008, Holmes was arrested in Pittsburgh and cited by officers for possession of marijuana.".. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santonio_Holmes For some reason a lot of people seem to be under the impression that the "wake and bake" remark on Twitter and the drink throwing incident are his only transgressions.
Holmes doesnt really have as much incentive to change. He's got a super bowl ring, and his money is for this year only, right? Plus, Marshall has been pretty good for over a year, so I'll believe him and give him a chance.
Dude, chill with the trash talk. Being a Dolphins fan isn't a prerequisite for joining and participating in this forum. Some great contributors here are not Phin fans. I think our cap expert is a bills fan (I think don't quote me on that)
Clump is a Bills fan in name only. Well he isnt married to to his pyscho ex girlfriend. PS17 is decent enough for a Jets fan
So he made mistakes that you could never imagine because you're not in his shoes having millions of dollars and still only a kid. And seriously, "scumbag thug"? Who talks like that?
