Putting aside all the controversy over his departure, I think we all should thank JT for 12 great seasons.

As a Dolphin, he recorded 124 sacks.
As a Dolphin, he recorded 341 tackles.
As a Dolphin, he scored 9 TDs.
As a Dolphin, he forced 42 fumbles.

Add 6 Pro Bowls, 3 First-Team All Pro, and one DPOY. All for the Dolphins.

    Thanks for the memories JT!

Never - forget it. Ain't happenin here. Didn't care when he went to Washington. Care lots when he goes to a hated division rival, but nice thought on your part.

There has to be more to this.

JT must know something that we don't. He must know that our OLB draft picks are a slam dunk and he'd be out of a job in Miami anyway.

    Very good news for us................

Right now F-him, I hope he gets his frame bashed all to hell.

But after that, when he does retire, I will welcome him to the ring of fame at Joe Robbie Stadium.

I will not speak bad of Jason Taylor. I didn't when he went to Washington, and although going to the Jets is just unimaginable, I won't speak bad of him now. When its all said and done, he was a valued member of the Franchise that I love and he gave me quite a few memorable moments for which I thank him. As I teach my 11 week old grandaughter the history of the Miami Dolphins (we are currently on Don Shula the early years) I will speak highly of Jason Taylor. He did way more good things for this team and the Miami Community as a whole to throw him under the bus for this more. I WILL NOT ROOT FOR JASON TAYLOR while he is in a Jet uniform. But I will not speak ill of him for earning his living. Afterall, its just a game and I am just a fan. In the grand scheme of things in my life this is just not that big of deal. So Thank You Jason Taylor for some great memories!

THanks JT. There were many many years where your performance was all I was looking forward to on sundays. You and Zach were my expectations from this team during those times.

I won't wish you well in NY but i won't think poorly of you either. You are without question a storied member of this franchise and what you accomplished here.

He and ZT made me a Dolphin when the bumbling of Fiedler never could. I'd like to not hate his guts right now but I hate the Jets and Roxy Ryan so much that I just can't.

oh well, just a dude earning a paycheck in another state now. he is old and on his way out. i cant blame him for doing what he thinks is right for himself. its not like our team was knocking down his door.

i didnt expect him to come back. we made him wait till ater the draft last year. i guess we were looking to replace him then and when who we wanted couldnt be had, he was our plan B.
its a year later and i guess plan B is reserved for youger guys this time.

all the people complaining are foolish. this isnt the same dolphins JT played for all those years. the only thing that hasnt changed is our location and fan base. and he didnt join the same old jets either. both teams are completely different. the teams are not a single person or entity. they change over time. and if your mother squeezed you out in any other place but the one that led to you becoming a dolphin fan, you wouldnt feel the same way.

The Dolphins refused to offer him a contract. It no ones fault but our FO's.

Thank you JT. You had a hell of career here. I hope you succeed in NY, but I hope your new team fails miserably.

He played very good last year, that's what.

Also, Anderson was not more successful rushing the passer than JT.

I think we can all agree on that. At least I'd hope so. He's made some great memories for all of us here.

Yup. Exactly. What he accomplished here is unreal. Any phins fan should be able to thank him for that.

Thats it... our FO's fault. Can't blame the guy for going elsewhere. When he wants to stay here, and simply wants a deal, what sounds like... any deal to stay, and we completely ignore him? Thats just not right. I hate that JT is now a Jet just like anyone else, but the NFL is a business, and JT has always been (for the most part) dedicated to the game, and he wants to play. If theyre the only team offering him a deal at this point in time, you gotta do what you've got to do. Any of us would do the same, and if you disagree, well I just don't believe you. If you were out of a job, and someone was offering, even if they were a rival company to the one you used to work for, you'd go. You have to.

Thats just ridiculous. Like I said, I hate that he's a Jet too, but lets not forget, he's a human being, with a family, wife, kids, friends, all of that stuff. Lets not all go an act like Jets fans here now. (No offense to you because I know you're a diehard phins fan, but what you said is like something you'd read on one of the Jets boards.

What a bunch of crybabies and ingrates in this thread.

I'm embarrased to be a Dolphins fan today.. Wishing injury on a HUMAN being because you don't like what team he is on.

I'm sure all of you would walk away from 3.5 MILLION dollars after you had been rejected like a red-headed stepchild by the team you love most.

Football is a GAME. It is entertainment. Stop acting like he committed treason. It's pretty pathetic to read some of the comments here.
