I like the best option for a wildcat on our team.

Thought? Brown throws over the Def coming full bore at him to Marshall!!! Positive yardage?

Who said anything about him being a thug or cancer? You know exactly what I meant so why the overstatement?

Drunk driving + injury = reduced value

Problem is he needs to be in the offense to make us number one! He is breaking down had 2 major issues already want's big money and isn't the type of back Bill want's in this system..

    1) Sean Smith is a promising CB for us. He had a better year than Vontae did. Great pick at #3

    2) We want draft picks because for the first time since Jimmy Johnson, we finally have a REALLY GOOD draft staff.

You can find real gems in the 3-6 round sometimes. You really can. Zach Thomas was a 5th round pick. Should I keep going?

Ronnie is an injury prone back, and soon will want a big contract that he isn't worth. If we can get a good pick for him in this years deep draft, I take it.

I have full faith in the Parcells regime that they will do good with drafts.

    Canada EH!
While i don't agree with that, he did have an ok year. He supposedly had great ball skills, but outside of preseason i didn't see any signs of that. They both got beat, but only one made big plays. Not to mention Sean is scared to throw the body, worst is, he has a big frame to use for it. You would think he would punish as a tackler more.

IF Ronnie were to go to the Lions, Miami absolutely has to draft a RB (or two?) in the draft.

I personally do not like Spiller. Not that I think he is a bad player (and he could return kicks or punts), but I still think Miami needs to go bigger at back.

I like Ryan Mathews from Fresno St. or Toby Gerhart. I also Like LaGarrette Blount.

I still think the Wildcat plays as much of a role in the past next year. It is a vital part of the offense. Makes me wonder who will take the reigns from Ronnie if he is indeed traded?

Not sure I completely agree with that. They've had some hits, but a good share of misses as well...and some very questionable picks.

    Dumb Move

If we trade Ronnie Brown especially for a 2nd round pick it would be a huge mistake. There are a few factors that are involved here. Yes we would gain a second round pick, but we can also gain a second round pick for trading back and still draft a position of need. If we trade Ronnie Brown we are creating another hole that needs to be filled on our offense and if we are going to use our 1st or 2nd round pick on a Running Back instead of a need what was the point? Trade one RB who's potential and overall talent is in the top half of the league for a young guy who might not even start?

Then you also have to consider that it's just pointless. How many years did we spend needing a RB during the late Marino era, and post Marino. Then we got Ricky Williams and still need a QB and Receiver. Now we have the QB of the future, an elite WR, and we trade our Upper Level running back in hopes that we draft another high level RB? Dumb IMO and just defeats the purpose of upgrading the offense in some areas to downgrade it in others.

Also from what I've read online this is not really and over strong RB class. There are a few guys who can make an immediate impact and others with question marks. People don't even really know who the #3 in the class is after Spiller and Matthews.

You guys who wouldn't trade him for a 2nd rounder this year...Do you want to sign him to a long-term contract after this season?

I will miss watching him play on our team, but I just don't see him being here after this season. So, if a 2nd is available...I think they pull the trigger.

I'm down for trading brown now. Before I wasn't but after thinking about it I have come to the conclusion we can get a quality back in the later rounds.

Sean Smith is young and showed some promise, however the dude from what ive seen CANNOT tackle worth a damn! As long as he keeps the receiver from catching the ball he will be ok.

In no way do I agree he was better than Vontae last year. Vontae looks like a BEAST.

I know you CAN find good players late, but id still rather have Ginn than a player that may not even make the squad. Id rather have Ginn returning our KO's.

Ronnie has had his injuries thats for sure, but as of last year hes the biggest threat we have on our team. If not for Marshall id say he is by far and away our best player as of now.

I love watching Ronnie run the wildcat to perfection. I think we'd see MUCH less of it if he wasn't here to run it. That said, does anyone think Brown will be here next year?

If he was willing to sign a modest, incentive-laden contract? Probably, but even then you have to worry about his injury history and would need a solid #2 HB to carry the load if Ronnie gets hurt again.

So, if they could get a second rounder for him, I think you pull the trigger on it. Certainly for the Lions second, and probably for their third and fifth if they offered that.

Yes, we'd need to draft a HB in the third, like Blount or Gerhart, unless they went with Spiller in the first. If we got Spiller we could wait till 2011 to draft another HB to replace Ricky.

Get something for Ronnie now, rather than watching him leave next year for nothing? Yeah, it would hurt, but you HAVE to make that deal.

I'm am fairy confident we won't pick Tebow with the pick. Surely the FO is smarter than that. Jax has basically admitted if they pull the trigger on Tebow, it will be to sell tickets and fill seats. We have other issues. If we are winning games, we'll pack the stadium every week. And Tebow won't help us win games...(unless of course, hes starting for the opposing team).

I disagree with #1. I don't think SS had a better year than Vontae. He had a better preseason and alot of fans fell in love with him. Once the year started, IMO, Vontae was better. Besides, Vontae will actually tackle someone. Smith won't even think abou it.

#2...I think the biggest myth among Fins fans is that JJ was a "great drafter". He was not. He was decent...above avg. He did not draft us a playermaker on offense the whole time he was here. I think Bess is better on offense than anyone JJ brought us. Hartline is as well.

He brought in some nice def players (two) with Zach and JT. Other than that, lets hope these guys are far better than JJ.

And lets not forget, JJ cut Norman Hand, who went on to be a Pro Bowler in SD in favor of Barron Tanner. Bad move.
