Definitely and interesting episode. Have to wonder how they will wrap this up, seems like they could go on for a few more seasons with everything thats going on. Looking forward to the rest of the season, its been pretty wild so far. Desmond has always been one of the most interesting characters to me.
I could see them doing a movie or mini series down the road if the series stays popular on reruns and dvd sales.
The creators/writers have stated that there will be no movie or spin off of the series once they're done with it. I actually don't think a movie could really work but a spin off mini series that tackles the mythos even further would be an interesting possiblity depending on how indepth the series goes. I could see maybe a series about the island with the first travelers to the island or Dharma first setting up shop there.
Damon and Carlton stated that they would not be invloved in a movie or spinoff but since Disney/ABC owns the series there could possibly be such a thing depending on how well the end goes,without them invloved. However if this happens I know that I and probably most of the people in here would not support or watch it.

Yeah I probably wouldn't watch it either since it would probably be bad (as most spin offs are). Plus without the main characters, since I'd assume that the actors that play Locke, Jack, Sawyer, Hurley, Ben etc. wouldn't be bad, it wouldn't be nearly as good.

Wow. I think Desmond is your new Jacob. It seems obvious to me that he hit Locke to try and get him to see the alternate universe. And for those of you interested in biblical allegory on "Lost," compare the story of Joseph, a dreamer without fear of his destiny who got tossed in a pit and left for dead with Desmond, a "visionary" with no fear of his destiny who got tossed in a pit and left for dead. Oh, and Joseph's father was named ... Jacob.
Noticing a recurring theme lately. The first half hour is kinda slow while the last half hour is brilliant. Desmond appears to be the key to unlocking the mystery of the flash sideways. Does Whidmore know this?

Nice to see Michael again although it still bugs me that his death sucked so much. I still think they should have kept him around longer as he, and Walt, were some of my favorite characters of the show.

Didn't see the Iliana (SP) explosion happening. I thought she would be there at the end. Desmond hitting Locke was too weird. Not understand why.
I'm pretty sure Desmond hit Locke to get him to 'remember' the other timeline so he can get everyone back together.
I've read that Desmond hit Locke b/c Locke didn't have a constant on the island. The only way Locke could have 'memories' about the island is if he was in a near death situation.
My thinking is this also, Libby kind of screws up my theory but I am thinking that unless you had "love" on the island that you need a near death experience to recognize it. Unless Libby already had that experience and we just werent shown it.
Right before Iliana blew up, I thought to myself, she should give the bag to Richard to hold just in case of anything. And that was completely random and unexpected, I think it actually took away from death since it was just so random. I guess it shouldn't really matter since her character doesn't matter in the long run.
i thought this episode was great... I'm liking desmond more and more and hes obviously playing a huge role in how this thing ends...
Right before it happened I was thinking about the teacher who accidentally blew himself up in season one. Then I was thinking about how carelessly she was handling the dynamite with no consequence. It seemed like an inconsistency with the story and then suddenly she explodes.
I knew as soon as she reached minimum safe distance from the rest of the group she was a goner... camera kinda backed away, she was all the way over there, they were all the way over here... buh bye Iliana... did the training teach you to handle old sticks of dynamite like that? Idjit...
btw, when Hurley saw Jacob's ashes in that bag that Iliana was keeping, he changed... what's that all about?

Everyone else will be saying if after the last episode but I'm going to say it now. This show sucks, it was an absolute waste of my time.
Just a theory but what if Jack died during the explosion, and the MIB is now jack, would be a interesting twist. Watching this episode i thought that maybe someone died and was taken over by the MIB, possibly Jin. Would be difficult as Locke is still MIB but i thought it was interesting
