Hey guys I live in Colorado and know quite a few Bronco bloggers....most of them are very upset that they are on the verge of losing Marshall. They feel the Broncos should not give him up for less then a first. I believe the Seahawks have TWO first round picks, the 6th and 14th, but there is no way they give either of these up for Marshall....the next Seaturds pick is #60. So we can offer more with our 44th pick...I think Ginn Jr. or Smiley would complete the deal. Look for Marshall to become a Phin TOMORROW.

I don't particularly know about Marshalls case but I do know if the police get called for domestic violence they have to arrest one of the two parties involved. For instance in one case Marshall was involved in a dispute with his fiancee where he parked his car behind his fiancees and blocked her in the driveway so she couldn't leave. He was charged with "domestic violence" in another one both him and his fiancee were seen kicking and punching each other both were arrested on "domestic violence" charges. It's not always what it seems... I've experienced it first hand with a psycho girl I was dating a long time ago she was screaming at me over something stupid and I threw a freaking pillow at the girl and told her to shut up jokingly, was not violent at all and I was damn near arrested on domestic violence lol I was very lucky that the cop was willing to bend the rules. If you look at the case history most of the charges have been dismissed or Marshall was found not guilty of the charges so I am willing to give him the benefit of doubt given my past experiences and I'm not willing to label him a woman beater because of it.

I mean he just married the girl that's involved in all the domestic violence charges, would she really marry him if he was such a bad person and if he beat her every chance he got? I sincerely doubt it. I don't think the "domestic violence" is nearly as bad as it sounds in Marshalls case. Just my opinion of course. I also don't think it was a very good idea for him to marry this woman but I guess that doesn't account for much either...

dude I wish I could as optimistic as you bro...I will say that a 1st round for Marshall is out for anybody, Seattle is bargining amongst themselves in that regard...

the problem is if, Seattle says, "Okay Miami is offering their 2nd and whatever, lets just give the 14th to them to seal the deal" that would kill Miami's hopes...and mine as well....

the thing with that situation is, YES, Marshall beat her, however there was times when he got arrested and the charges got dropped as well.....he is a jerk for hitting her, absolutely!! However she was no angel either...

Have been thinking this for awhile now, if Marshall gets traded Denver definitely takes Bryant, I think the FO realizes this as well. It's likely a major part in the decision making process to make a push for Marshall. These guys aren't stupid! Thank God! Honestly I don't think we walk away from this without Marshall, FO seems to be really good at locking in players they really want.

I'd prefer Bryant but I really don't think he's going to be available at #12........ and being able to get Marshall and still have our #1 pick, that's huge.

For that reason alone I'd take the gamble.......because one thing we know we are not gambling on is does he have elite talent. Our offense would be scary.

thats pretty much the name of the game, all championship teams have taken gambles, have had a little luck along the way, and also have a solid foundation of core players too..

    I understand.

Where did Marshall go to high school? (in Florida)....where did he go to college? (UCF - Orlando), everyone knows how much he loves the clubs, and Miami and Atlanta....why would he go live in Seattle???

Probably, and Branch and Mcdaniels has a relationship, so should that get in the way? I don't see it. Ginn is way way younger than Branch, so more value (per se :)) Plus our 2nd rounder is higher in the draft than the seahawks so unless the Seahawks give up that 14th pick i don't see them getting him.

agreed. i only wonder who he has a better relationship with. Parcells or John Schneider. all things being equal you do the trade with friends. Plus the kid is going to want to make a splash and I'm sure Pete Carroll is too. This is going to be interesting

Ginn and the 40-whatever pick is better IMO than a 60 something and Branch......Branch is done.....now Ginn sucks, but at least the kid burns, and is somewhat young...more upside...

Not entirely true, I remember when he was at the Broncos' Dove Valley training camp last year and threatening to sit out. He can always threaten not to play if he doesn't like the deal.

Morton, Shefter and Clayton all seem to agree the trade will go down in the next day or two.

    possible scenero...

    1. Miami trades Ted Ginn Jr. , Jason Taylor (who they would have to re-sign), and their second-round pick for Brandon Marshall.

I would say 14th. Bottom line there is still the risk this guy will be banned in a year or two for future transgressions. Personally I'm willing to give up a 2nd for him and a player like Ginn or Smiley but a 1st is too much for that risk IMO. The guy is a perennial top five WR but you have to weight the risks IMO

I totally agree with you. I don't think Carrol wants to give up either of his two first round picks. So better package of picks/players wins. What if Seattle gives up their 2nd round this year and a conditional 2nd round next year that can turn into a 1st based on playing time?

I could see that, however Seattle needs their picks, they suck!! and are in desperate need of help...they have an even worse LB corp than Miami did last year...no QB, medicore RB's, Carlson good, avg line...they really dont need Marshall right now.....Carroll is a wack and loves offense so he is giddy, wish Holmgren was still there to calm his arse down..

Right i have always loved for the Dolphins to get Marshall. I don't see why Carrol thinks WR is his most pressing need. Getting Younger is his need! The seahawks are a pretty old team compared to their division counterparts. I don't believe the Seahawks will get Marshall, I don't see how they could with so many needs... What other teams are in the Dolphins position? Not many due to recent trades. Jets have their WR's, Ravens have Quan, Bengals are the only one's that need another WR to become a better team.

He's what 26? They have more pressing needs is the point. A WR won't change their defense, which looked horrendous. By the time Carroll puts the pieces to his puzzle together, Marshall will be nearing 30!
