In a surprise approval from Apple, Opera Mini is now available for the iPhone. The good: fast page rendering, brings some desktop features along, could spark a flood of other mobile browser approvals. (Firefox?) The bad: some of the UI elements seem strange and out of place on the iPhone, and most pages with mobile versions will default to the mobile versions. The forums, for example, default to the text-based mobile version when I load up with Opera Mini, as do sites like Google News and PFT. Hopefully this means Apple will be a little more lenient on approving apps from direct competitors. I also hope this means massive improvements for OS 4.0's Safari. Edit: Nice writeup here. Some interesting points to note:
Since they've allowed Opera Mini, hopefully they'll allow for email apps, too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Here's all the OFFICIAL info regarding the iPhone 4.0 (iOS4) from Jobs: http://goo.gl/fLdK Highlights: front facing camera, Retina Pixelation (VERY COOL), A4 processor, vastly improved battery life, improved antenna, thinnest phone in creation, etc... I'm absolutely going to buy it. I didn't upgrade to 3GS just for this phone. It looks truly revolutionary.
