honestly a 5th seed is the highest you'll get for him, and they might want that cuz of their lack of a 5th seed this year...but a 6th is more like it....
WOW what a crappy time to get off your collective asshats FO! While Im glad we are looking at trading him I have to say I would have swapped him for Holmes even with the 4 game suspension. If you were willing to do this now, why not a few days ago for a PROVEN STUD!!
I am not too positive any team will really approach Miami about Ginn and no matter how much I would love to see Ginn leave Miami I don't see Parcel's letting him go for a 6th or 7th round pick as no team in their right mind would offer more. Bye Bye Ginn...
He should have included every other player as to being on the trading block. For the right price, all of them are. There lies the biggest problem. Ginn won't snatch a 7th rounder at this point so all his typing and speculation is mute...
Article up on ESPN now. Written by none other than our very own Tim Graham. http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/21472/report-dolphins-trying-to-drop-ginn
Adam_Schefter To facilitate trade talks between Broncos and other teams, WR Brandon Marshall signed his $2.5 million tender Tuesday.
personally, i believe we would trade Ginn for an inflated '11 draft pick ... there is no doubt that the FO wants to improve its number of picks in rds 2-5 ... and i still maintain, that we could very well trade down more than once and then trade the late 1st rd pick to DEN ... i would do that without reservation .... get more picks for '10 and '11 and get the WR that we need to get 'chunks' ...
Package deal... How? Not sure? Ginn and Bess for Marshall or something? LOL! I like Bess too but if they would take them and we manage to still snag Dez could you imagine! The FO is just biding there time... I can feel it!
No, this is a sign of what most of us already know. Ginn is a horrible WR, average at best KR, and will never amount to anything. We'd be lucky to get a 5th for him, and I'd easily take any compensation at all.
The timing of all of this is weird. You can't unload him before the draft and hope to get Bryant. I should just let my 8 year old draft if that happens.
Nuts yes you are right bro.....and what do they do 9 times out of 10 out of it....run.....conservative.... listen not that I want the RB's passing out of it anyway...alla Williams int against Buffalo, we have Chad for that...I think the Cat will go softly into that good night...it will be around still, but not depended on...as in the past... BTW....that might have been single handedly, the most stupid playcalling I have EVER seen, here they are driving down the field, Buffalo couldnt stop RW, he was getting 4+ yards a clip that opening drive, marching right down field for an opening drive touchdown in a MAJOR game in december with playoff implications...they get inside the 5....and Henning said to himself, "Self, me thinks we should effing toss the cat out there, and pass from it, using Ricky"................at that point I hoped they lost and didnt make the playoffs...no BS....
Hope so my friend. It's been a very long time since we made a splash.Us fans can use some great news on the FA or Draft front.
If we could get a 3rd rounder for him, even if its NEXT year, you'd have to take that. A 4th round this year? That's probably his value in light of his health, speed & contract.
Even Jeff is feeling it hahahahahahaha Jeff_Darlington Marshall for Ginn, straight up? That's fair, right? RT @mortreport: B. Marshall has signed tender, setting table for a possible trade.
Paving the way for negotiations.....see now it can be done by phone on the QT, before if you signed an offer sheet, Denver or anyother team had a week to A)see exactly what you offered, and B) trumph it.....talk about nerve racking.... Marshall signing basically says Denver is giving in hopefully to the less than 1st round pick...also, Marshall was dead set against signing this tender and now he did?? so early?? hmmmmm? I'll be
Not to get this thread too off topic, but that was one of the single worst play calls I've ever seen. I get blasted everytime I say this, but that playcall cost us that game, and I believe was a major factor in the failure of our team to make the playoffs.
He was joking. The more I think about it, I wouldn't be suprised if Denver has no interest in Ginn at all. Also, we still don't even know that the Dolphins are even interested in Marshall.
ok seriously, nobody wants ted ginn. i'd be happy to get back a bag of rocks. if we get a 7th, i'll be giddy. really whatever cap space we get in return, assuming a cap ever comes back, is incentive enough to unload ginn. nobody wants a guy who on kickoffs runs out of bounds or goes down 5 yards before contact. he's the only player i've ever seen do a qb slide (that's not a qb). his speed yielded one pass td last year. he doesn't stretch the field. he barely seperates at the line. he drops everything. he minimizes the field for henne, by giving him less options.
There's a difference between not being a valuable asset and being a liability. You're forgetting to tally up the TD catch and the two TD returns in the Jets games. Without Ginn we don't sweep the Jets. Give him one more year before you let him go for a 7th.
Ugh!!!! That draft still gives me shudders. That was a draft that would have made Wannstedt and Spielman proud. Not much left to show for that draft class.
Watch Ted Ginn get traded and then start to blossum into a great player...that would piss me off so much
