My Favorite teams are the Dolphins and who ever is playing our AFC east rival. If they're playing each other I root for both teams to get banged up. Bro, If they move us from the AFC east I may just break down and cry. Yes I hate our rivals but I love playing them. I miss playing the colts. So Hell no to another realignment!
Well then you sit and watch as he piles up more yardage in a half season than any of our guys will in a full season i guess....lol
yeah that was reported on PFT a couple hours ago...they were going to release him outright, so a 5th from the Steeler POV isnt that bad... the Dolphins were most certainly called, and promptly they hung up the phone...
jets are a running team. Sanchez set the rookie int record and they pretty much did nothing but run in the last half of the season. This is an offense that won't know what to do with Edwards and Holmes because Keller gets most the passes. Potentially, this move could lead to ego problems as Edwards has already complained about not getting the ball enough there.
That's what I'm saying. Is it really steal if nobody else wanted him Somebody couldve waited till he was cut and gotten him for nothing. Once again, the Jests are killing their chances of building through the draft.
Right..... getting Sanchez yet another play making target, should be of no help at all. It's pretty bad when all some of you have to grasp at is hopes of a melt down......I pray that happens. But counting on it would be foolish.
Actually.....what they are doing is providing yet another play making target for their young QB, heading into his crucial sophomore season. Whether or not he'd be a good fit here in south Florida is one thing....but for a 5th round pick it's deff worth the gamble for the Jets.
Which is my philosophy too, building thru the draft, then sprakle a FA in here and there.....but these guys are going against everything I agree with on building a winning formula IMO....and suceeded at it....so they cant be wrong...although a SB championship or failure for them...at this point..
Im just far from convinced in Sanchez. I have seen very little from him that suggests he can be an elite passer in this league. Getting him weapons doesn't mean jack if throws it to the other team.
We will see. We will indeed see. None of it does any good till Snatcho learns who's on his team. This movew concerns me not at all.
Thing is too many egos though....there is no doubt Edwards, Holmes, Revis Cromatie, all playmaking types of guys at any one of them can single handedly turn the outcome of the game, however when you add egos upon egos usually it fails.... That being said I agree make the gamble and roll with it, they are right there in SB contention....
It damn sure makes his job easier..... the more talent you surround him with, the better he'll be. Watch what happens to Kyle Orton this year if the Broncos get rid of Marshall and don't draft Dez Bryant....he'll be on the bench watching Brady Quinn play.
Right......Ben vs Hot Dog in all phases of quaterbacking is not even an arguement...I too agree that I didnt see alot of him as well, to make me think highly of him as a passer....
This year will tell us a lot about him. Last year he had one of the top O-Line's in the NFL, two solid receivers, a solid TE, and a great running game. He still threw for 14 TD's and 20 INT's. Less than impressive given he couldn't have been in a more ideal situation as a Rookie. If he doesn't reverse those numbers and then some, it'll be a disappointment for him and the Jets.
I think Rocky stated a few facts that are true. What you said above is your opinion,or do you know something everyone else doesn't? And yeah,I am thrilled about this team, thanks! But I won't speak for you....
The Jets are playing with fire here. I think Rex and co. have been playing a little too much madden. It's not all about talent all the time. Character does have a major impact on overall team morale. The only teams that are successful in incorporating players with past character issues are teams who already have strong leadership and a locker room presence. I see nothing but a bunch of loud mouthed, egos in NYJ's locker room. Who's gonna keep Holmes' head in check? Or Cromartie and Edwards? Or, heck, even Rex Ryan for that matter? I think the Jets will be more pre-season bark than regular/post season bite next year. Kinda like the Cowboys 2 seasons ago.
Actually, pretty sure it was 20 INT's and only 12 TD's. Would never know that it was that lopsided listening to the NY hype mavchine.
this you can have all the big names in the world but if you don't have team chemistry you aren't winning anything. my prediction is the jets will be a mess and take a huge step back from their ridiculously over rated 2009 season.
ok first off, lets not forget he had one of the best QBs in the league throwing to him. Big Ben is a notorious scrambler that gives wideouts ample time to get open on there routes. Second he has had the pleasure of being beside one of the best possesion and blocking wrs of our if not all time. Not to mention a PB TE. He is NOT going to have the same kind of time to get open as he did in Pitt. Second he has ALWAYS had a rep. for bad route running which is going to kill a second yr QB's confidence in him real quick. He's not underrated. He;s a system receiver.
He's thrown 4 TD and 3 INT in the playoffs. That's really all that matters. I'd ask you what Henne's ratio is in the playoffs but we already know the answer to that. And we definitely wouldn't want to bring up Chad's ratio as a Dolphin. No, no. That would be horrid.
What kills me is if you listen to the hype, you would think those numbers were reversed. Honestly, I think Henne's 14 against 12 touchdowns sucks Eggs, but Dirty Snatcho was MUCH worse.
The only thing we can hope for is the Jets end up like the Redskins. However, they did make it to the AFC Championship game, and now they're obviously being aggressive and they are taking a gamble to try and make it to the Super Bowl. We don't gamble at all, which maybe is why we had a losing record in 2009.
Nope, if you want to go that route SuperBowl stats are all that matters. Dont agree with that, but that would be your logic atleast applied appropriately.
Yes... let's move down for a situational pass rusher and allow them to move up for a top flight receiver. Actually, that's very believable with this FO.
Give me a break dude. Sanchez was in the playoffs because of their defense and running game. Henne outperformed him in every single category with less playing time. Not to mention, Henne had 3 game winning drives. How many did Sanchez have? Goose egg. In fact, he failed quite a few times in that scenario. You guys have a good team and got tho the AFCCG, and that's a huge accomplishment, but you still haven't won squat and there's no way you can say Sanzhez is better than Henne right no. No way.
When Chad Henne sits in the pocket waiting for a receiver to get open... while Mark Sanchez has Braylon Edwards, Santonio Holmes, Jerricho Cotchery, and Dustin Keller out there... it's not going to matter who is better.
Holmes suspended four games The NFL made it official this afternoon. Holmes is out four games without pay. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d81777209
