I had a Mustang Turbo...and a mullet...back in the day... I can recall those Mustang 5.0 Lx's beating up disco crawling z28's consistently.

I was talking the stock cars bro. Thos two aren't bad...but the stock GT500 is still quicker than than both of them, and it's sold off the Ford the showroom floor. Both those Camaros are aftermarket jobs....if you go aftermarket take the GT500 Super Snake. Would beat both of hose by over a second.

Thank You Pagan, for taking me back to the future! It was a weekly ritual in 1966, that I, my brother "Theweasel" and my friend "Tank", would work the Friday night shift at Bob's SUNOCO. Dash home in the morning and shower and then drive to Daytona, to Ray Hunt Ford. Ray Hunt, Ford, was the Southern Distributor for Shelby. Our first order of the day was to lust for the Cobra, that was always displayed on the Showroom Floor. Then we would go to the back lot of the dealership and look at everyone of the forty or fifty identical white and blue striped, GT 350's, waiting to be sold to some lucky soul. By the time we finished there. We would drop by Volusia Speed Shop for an hour or so, then catch the first batch of hot .18 cent MacDonalds Burgers coming off the grill and head home. Those days were so great!!

Well I loved the 5.0's but my heart was always on the Mustang's 60's Cousin: I had a couple of Mercury Cougars, a 302 one and a 351W one. Had to watch the headlights though, driving home at night that damn vacuum system would conk out and the headlight flaps would drop... If you had passengers they would freak out at that point... Nothing like driving home at 70ish and the headlights conk out to get ye olde adrenaline pumping.

I had a Mazda Rx-3 that was a camaro killer. That sucker could rev up to 7k rpm's an was a much much quicker than Joe Mullet's Iroc Z28 with the T-Top package.

Unfoirtunately bro, you can't stop idiots with money from doing things against nature to ANY car....but Stangs aren't known for that. It's the exception. I have that on my FB page. Raw power...unreal.
Just to add one more nail into the coffin, Motor Trend recently compared the new BASE Mustang GT against the Camaro SS and the Challenger SRT8. It smoked both of them...and for $1,300 base price less than the Camaro and $13,300 (yes, you're reading that right) base price less than the Challenger and it's overrated Hemi. Damn...I almost wanna trade mine in and get and '11.
I don't know the Marketing Firm is for Chrysler, that tapped into and promoted the the "Hemi" so heavily a few years ago, but they really hit the ball out of the park on that one! One of the best series of commercials I've ever seen.

Hey...need advice. Did some work this past weekend. It's just in vinyl now to see if I like it. If I do the stripes will be painted and the Pony Badge will be painted red chrome. Whattaya think?
