Obviously their schedule isn't the meat grinder it was last year, some tough ones in there and some easy ones...this is a schedule that can be taken advantage of most certainly, with a better defense...

Playing Oakland helps.....playing Oakland with McNabb doesnt....

I agree. With a schedule like this, the Dolphins cannot afford to overlook someone with weaker schedule or cower under a team with a tougher schedule. I don't think they will do that but I don't want them to get too high that a lower ranked team "upsets" us.

Well its still a fairly difficult schedule but considering we had the toughest last year this is much more of a relief.

Honestly, playing Oakland with or without mcNabb helps.

It's still Oakland and always will be as long as Davis is calling the shots.

All I know is that our road schedule this year is BRUTAL. Pats, Jets, Bills, Ravens, Bengals, Raiders, Vikings, Packers. 6 playoff teams. Of course, we don't know who will be better or worse than last year but based off of the 2009 season that is tough. I'm optimistic though that we can beat anyone.

bring it on,let's see what we have...can't wait.

My first thoughts are that we can take back the division.
After that my thoughts turn to this paragraph within the article:
..."Dolphins will play eight games against 2009 playoff teams. The Patriots will play eight games against 2009 playoff teams. The Bills will play eight games against 2009 playoff teams. The Jets will play six games against 2009 playoff teams.".....

??..so let the conspiracy theories begin.

You guys write Oakland off way too easily. They didn't go 0-16. They are inconsistent as hell but they beat some teams last year, some tough teams.

I don't put alot of weight in these schedules, teams change so much from year to year what was the hardest schedule in 09 can just as easily turn into middle of the road or even an easy schedule in 2010 add to it the fact that if we are going to get anywhere we need to be competitive with the best teams in the league the difficulty of the schedule doesn't hold alot of weight.

I would go as far as to say that having an easy schedule can be a disadvantage just because it allows you to back into the playoffs and be one and done due to lack of preperation against the better teams.

    Meh.
This entire ranking of schedule at this time of year means absolutely NOTHING.
In fact, ranking the trength of schedule prior to about week 14 is not accurate iMHO.

WE play the Jest, Past and Bills anyway RR, the Bengals are wildly inconsistent and the Raiders game is a toss up, traveling out West who knows what will happen?

Now I know some people downplay the SoS, but last yr can anyone honestly say that it turned out differently than what we all could have expected?

Indy, Bolts, Saints, Falcons, there were reasons why we went 7-9.

this is a good thing compared to 2009, although a bit confusing in some respects

Hey, any given Sunday, as they say.

But, I disagree... Oakland has been pretty consistent. Consistently bad... Since their last Super Bowl appearance, they are 29-83... Most wins in a season is 5. Top to bottom, that organization is a mess, IMO. Doesn't mean they can't beat the 'Phins, but I would be sorely disappointed in this team if they do.

This don't mean much to me. Sure its nice we have some games in there that we can at least look at this year and think, great, we should win that one. But just because our schedule ranks 17th toughest based on last year, teams improve during offseasons. So its tough to base the schedule for next year, on results from last year when teams change dramatically from year to year.

brother 23rd, this is a very good thing. we nearly beat both teams that played for the super bowl last year. this year we will contend for greatness, but have weaker enemies! THEY WILL ALL FALL!!!!!

Yeah....didn't the Jets finish ahead of us ? Why do we play 8 and the Jets play only 6 playoff teams......can someone explain this ? I thought finishing in 2nd meant a tougher schedule than a 3rd place finish ???

this is very true...teams can get better, but they also can worse. So maybe that can be a wash ?

while the article states we play 8 playoff teams..we actually play 10 "playoff " team games due to playing n.e and the jest twice.and thats just who was in playoffs last year.are there any non-playoff teams from last yr that may very well be playoff teams this yr?
