It's a good read. Hopefully something good will come out of this.

i was liking the will allen to FS option until we lost nate jones.
w allen will now be the nickel corner
jason allen back to safety is a bad idea to me. he is a better cb

as far as culver and clemons it seems obvious they dont believe in either one at the moment otherwise we wouldnt have been so aggressive in pursuing veteran help

Taking Bethea would make passing on Marshall easier since both positions are a big need at this point and both are proven prospects. It's going to be an interesting year, it certainly is starting to seem like a make or break year for our Phins. Some big decisions being made right now that will dramatically affect the future of the team for better or worse.

IMO it would still be more prudent to take Sharper for no picks and use the 1st on Marshall but if that doesn't happen I can honestly say I hope the F.O. proves me wrong!

J Allen is a better Cb, he basically played the entire game vs Pittsburgh, did surrender one TD to Miller, but Big Ben had 7 or 8 seconds to find him in the back of the endzone.

Imho Culver and Will Allen are the best inhouse solutions, S Smith is a distant second, then Clemons and then Jason Allen.

Surprisingly, after taking Cb at #1 and #3 last yr, we could use another Cb in this draft.

How about Deon Grant? He was just released in a money move by the Seahawks.

    He worth a look?

His numbers looked Gibril Wilsonish NJ, and I "think" he is a SS not a FS?

agree but smith should stay at corner for now and see how he develops there
he is probably not physical enough to play the FS position and you dont move him so early in his career
some will say the same about will allen not being physical enough but he is a veteran who knows quite a bit more about read and react. he could transition well imo but....

losing nate jones opens another hole. the guy was developing nicely and was a good fit at the nickel. that one hurt
agree again we will have to get a corner sometime sadly enough

I personally think V. Davis would be the best at it, but I don't think you move him, but they could with Will Allen back.

Think so as well, but he is also our best "cover' corner imho, Smith is good and his tools can take away a #2 Wr, but Vontae has the package to handle #1 Wr's week in, week out.

Not sure why they let Nate Jones walk, he could have played FS.

Dolphins don't have a safety issue. They used to have a Gibril Wilson issue. The fact that they didn't want to overpay for Clark means that they could accept he wouldn't sign and we be faced with this very situation, facing starting Clemons or J.Allen. Who knows what Nolan wants to do with J,Allen though... We may even draft the safety from GA.

Personally I think a safety will be drafted fairly high...but if not, Culver played well enough, Clemons could develop and Jason Allen has not played as poorly as many insist on.....also Jason Allen has been forced since he was drafted to play a defense that requires he think more than react which I personally feel his skills are decent at CB and potentially very good as a true free safety..........................also a band-aid can be found in the final cuts as a safety is realativly easy to fit into a system like Nolans..........

I would suggest signing a new nickel CB like Phillip Buchanon and then proceeding to move Will Allen into a deep center field position. I'd rather not spend a high draft pick on the position.

I don't think Jason Allen has the instincts even though his play at safety was better than suggested.
