I know he is getting up there in age but what do you all think of looking into Torry Holt? He has maybe another year or two in him and he is far from a diva. He could provide good leadership for our young receivers especially if we draft one this year.

come on stop playing me like that, I started watching them in 1983....I missed the 70's I was born in 76 (your age)...again I'm not talking about agressive as in having the best quaterback in NFL history throwing precision like 60 yard bombs to underrated wide-outs....I was there the whole time when Marino had 1 1000 yard rusher in his career, they were about as aggressive as you could have been back then on offense.....but aggressive playcalling, and having aggressive personal is different...cuz while we had agressive playcalling, the Bills had agressive personal and pounded Miami every playoffs, then the Jags did it...and why?? simply put whatever you say about taking a pounding, these are big guys playing football, people get beat up playing the Lions for pete's sake...they weren't tough enough, they didn't have all the tools, they either lacked the mental, physical, or emotion toughness to win in the NFL, and still do, because they would have made it futher than they did in the past decade plus...period, thats your proof right there.....I dont get into couldas and wouldas, oh Miami played the toughest schedule this year...thats diva......Pittsburgh played in the 08 year, the toughest schedule, what was their result hmmm?? Champions correct?? why?? Pittsburgh is brutality tough all on levels..

As far as the Jets I cant stand them I hate them more than any team around, but I admire the fact they take gambles to better their team...you could arguably say that they went against the very premise I believe in (building through the draft) and were successful at it...the trade for Sanchez, signing some "questionable" characters.....Braylon's trade..they are adapting with the changing scope of the NFL....

Lastly if you are taking the small victories of Miami beating them (which I love) over a shot at going to the AFC Championship game as a better option.....wow......

Have you met their offensive line?

My 74 lb grandmother could have averaged 5 yards per carry behind those big steamrollers.

The top three wide receivers in the league are not diva's, so don't try to use the diva characteristic as simply something that comes with being a great wide receiver.

I would take, and I'm sure Bill Parcells would take Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, and Calvin Johnson on his team any day of the week. They are your true elite wide receivers.

You don't have to accept the behavior and attitude issues that come with bringing in Terrell Owens, Brandon Marshall, or Dez Bryant. These guys are poor attitude players that have a history of not being good teammates.

Jerry Rice, Art Monk, Marvin Harrison....some of the best receivers to ever play this game do not fall into the diva category.

Well we can avoid " the diva receiva" but if the Fins continue to be "picky choosers, then we'll continue being losers".

Sure he would. But he can't have them. Because teams that understand the value of WRs and a strong passing attack spent a first round pick on them and will never give them up. Bill Parcells and this FO apparently / allegedly don't place value on the WR position, so we will never have a shot at a Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson or Calvin Johnson.

So your suggestion is to wait around till we find the next Jerry Rice? As I said before if that's the case, most of us won't be alive to see it. It's a win now league. We have a huge hole at WR. You must be a very patient person if you're willing to wait till next season, or more for this team to sign or draft a legitimate playmaker at WR.

I hate to give the Jets credit, but they recognized their need during the season last year and made a deal for Braylon Edwards. The Dolphins did nothing. It didn't work out so well for us.

Finally read the article... sounds like "Omar Kelly" wants to "avoid diva receiva"

Not sure if matters? No implications from Dolphins brass as usual with this buffoon. Strong misleading blog title, though.

Yup, though he at least provides old quotes before making his shaky inferences which he then states as if they are fact not guesses

    Slightly left of center
Nat Moore, Paul Warfield, the Marks brothers, are a few more non divas mnames.
Ed McCaffrey, Fred Bellitnikoff (sp?), Reggie Wayne, Lynn Swan, John Stallworth. Reed fr Barfallo, Chris Carter, Antonio Freeman, ,
that's just off the top of my head.
I agree with the Parcells philosophy, no one player is bigger than the team.
Just say no to Drama Queens.

lol, I told him he needs to play for the Dolphins when he was at UCF!!! Its the only team I'll pub. However at that time he wanted to go to the Bucs with Charles Lee who is his chapter bruh and was playing for the Bucs at the time. He's a real eccentric cat, I'll tell you that. Don't see a guy wear an ascot to the club too often.

is the sentiment here that Thomas will not be available at 12?

he may not be a great "hands catcher," but his is an absolute specimen who dominated as a receiver in the triple option ....
