I said a month or so ago that I thought Miami was the most likely landing spot for Dansby, Taylor and Fergusen. We landed two of the three and I still feel the same about Taylor.

He took a hometown discount to continue to play in Miami, and be near his family. I didn't read that article to see what teams he was talking to, but I doubt he goes anywhere else. He's just trying to get back to market price with the phins.

Well, it would be nice to re-sign him but I don't think it's a must, IMO he was rather a disappointment last year, this is not the same JT from five years ago.

I don't know how he was a dissapointment last year. He played really well in his first year at SOLB.

yeah I do 2 million tops for him honestly...if he wants to play in Miami, thats is fine...because the blurb says it is an uncapped year, so JT should get more on the open market.....so with that being said, and when JT says he wants to stay in Miami....he shouldn't be holding them hostage...it shows his colors as a money grabber...and if thats the case I don't want his pseudo-loyalty....

Well, I thought it was great to have JT back in aqua and orange last year. And, I think he played very well considering his age, coming back from that freak injury with Washington, and playing SOLB. If there's anyway to bring him back at a reasonable price and platoon him on the weak side, I think it would be a very good move for him, and the team.

Our OLB situation will hurt badly if we lose the #1 and #2 active sack leaders in one offseason. We can't replace that with Wake, Anderson, and a rookie.

Taylor would be a great signing for a year or two. He played for us way under market value last season, he doesn't deserve to be screwed again. He should be signed to a reasonable market contract. Anything close to market should be enough to guarantee his return unless some other team way over pays.

I would be profoundly disappointed in the NewRegime if they let him slip through their fingers after such an heroic effort on Jason Taylor's' part on every front. Just do the right thing, pay the man what he's worth. It would be a horrendous mistake & injustice to do otherwise.

It was for the most part an invisible player last year for his, don't care what he played for the first time. And it's not that I don't want him back - I do because I think he is the type of player to rebound from an off year - I am just being realistic on his performance in 2009.

Well, you're not being realistic. 7 sacks, 20 QB pressures, and set the edge very well. He wasn't a liability in the run game. He was a good player in 09.

    What?

Fumble return for a TD in the Jets win, 2nd on the team in sacks, and was playing with a bum rotator cuff, and he was invisible?

Disagree, now I will say in 2010 he is more likely to do less, in 09 he was not invisible.

The first six games he had 5.5 sacks, 2.5 of them coming against a very inexperienced Bills OL, after that he had just 1.5 sacks in the last ten games, that's what I am referring too when I say he was mostly invisible.

But I will say I was unaware of the 20 QB pressures, that is not too shabby. And Pads, if he had a bum rotator cuff and it's healthy now, why would you think he would do less just a year later? That makes no sense.

I really hope we don't plan on going into the draft with Cameron Wake as our only legitament OLB, and I'm not sure you can call him legitament yet.

p90x schedule to them, In the event that you want to impress your family and friends. How remarkable could it be to find out a continuous development of weight reduction, increased power and tightening and one glance at the worksheet and one glance at you’ll certainly get rid of the need to ask does P90X actually work. It’ll be before their eyes.

Last year Taylor was mis-used out of necessity.....he was out there trying to set the edge when at this point in his career he's best suited as a pass rusher.

Had rushing the QB been his only responsibility, I think he would have nearly twice the number of sacks.

We could use his veteran presence and there aren't any alternatives that are even close to JT.

All true, let's watch to see what Porter lands in AZ because I suspect a couple of teams may wave 7 millie or so under JT nose, an offer I reckon he will take..

bring back jt!!! He's versatile, hostile and a team leader. He can play weakside, strongside but most of all he makes plays and gets to the qb.

Are any of them going to be a red zone threat....a guy that can get a little YAC?

Think maybe we ought to at least spend one of the picks on a WR or do we need ALL of our resources to focus on that out dated Wanny ball team you guys in the "defense camp" wanna build?

    Don't need Taylor?

Oh so we're just gonna plug in some rookies and they'll be fine?

We could make good use out of Taylor if we used him properly...........I think some of you have lost your minds over this coming draft. Especially when that band of "geniuses" is very likely to waste a couple of those picks we have on reaches and specialty players.

Once again for the hearing impaired......your defense will always look better when you put up 35 plus per game.

Not sure I agree, played SOLB instead of WOLB where he's always played, did well against the run, and still had 7 sacks. Seems pretty decent to me. I think we should re-sign him, even if itr is to platoon with Wake at WOLB, and mentor Wake plus if platooning he wouldn't get so tired at his age.

Plus he wasn't fully healthy last year, we don't know how much the shoulder problem affected his play, because he doesn't complain he just gets in there and plays through it.

same argument that was used when we had a chance to draft pat willis and people said zach thomas was still good enough. if you want to guarantee that someone will contribute draft three OLBs

bill parcells has never ever played wanny ball. thats a horrible comparison. its parcells ball. if you dont like the style that parcells plays then you're going to be disappointed for a long time. my suggestion......booze

We dont need a WR this year, maybe next. We do need a TE who can split the seam however. Pitta or Quarless fit the bill

I can't believe some of you don't want Taylor back. He can still make plays and he's got a lot of valuable experience that can help the team. His leadership is important when there are so many young players. Let Taylor and Wake split snaps on one side and draft an OLB in the 1st or 2nd round.

Adam.....you're nuts but I love ya anyway

Don't need a WR?.....oh I get it, your boy Ginn is going to now blossom in his 4th year?

Oh and it is Wanny ball.......defense, running game and ignore the needs of the passing game. At least Wanny had an excuse......it wasn't yet a passing league.

And I won't have to wait a "long time"......another off season like last year and these guys will be history.

of course you ****ing bring jt back. hes the only thing left from this franchise with marino and the 90's. hes still got gas in the tank. he has multiple times in his career taken pay cuts to help the franchise get under the cap. hes a leader, hes a great locker room guy, we are very ****ing low on olbs, and jesus christ guys!!!! its JASON ****ING TAYLOR. #99 in miami. no where else.

ill over pay a little bit just so i dont see him in new england slapping hi-5 with brady and welker after sacking henne 3 times :pity:
