I couldn't believe it when I saw it on PFT. I was absolutely certain he'd be a Dolphin. Pretty bummed about it but hopefully the FO will go after Atogwe.
I honestly didn't care one way or the other if we signed Clark. I do think Clark used the Dolphins to get what he wanted from the Steelers. Its a business though and it isn't the first time and it wont be the last. I would much rather have someone who wants to be a Dolphin than have someone just accepting the Dolphins as an alternative choice.
Which current Phins did this with another team like Clark did us, then after it appeared we lost them, had them come back and resign with us in the end?
Yeah, he pretty much played us. No FA gets off the plane and says the stuff he said. This was a setup from the beginning. I listen to him on his weekly spot on Sirius and all he kept saying after the season is how much he loved and wanted to stay in Pittsburgh. His kids go to school there and he is very involved in their school and other community activities. He never wanted to leave. We were used!!! He basically wasted our time, took our deal to Pittsburgh. We did all the legwork for them.
Yeah kinda obvious that he did. Well we will see in time if he made the best decision. I'd rather see Culver and Clemons play it out and one of them earn the starting spot. Would be nice to see how much Clemons has learned. But Atogwe from the Rams would be interesting.. The actual p90x workout schedule offers exact diet strategies in addition to amounts but simultaneously you will find plenty of options. It gives easy dishes employing their calorie values. In this way it is possible to prepare your own personal meals in addition to calorie intake. As for all the website hiccups and crashes. Us essie nail polish peeps really do know how to crash a website, don’t we. I’m going to generalize here and say that we as a group are very passionate people and it shows with our enthusiasm and kind hearts.
Not really he got a 4 year deal worth 17 million and his agent said Miami was offering more money. On the other hand we offered Antrel Rolle 31 million. I'm happy we didn't get ether of them, i don't think Rolle is worth the money he got and Ryan Clark would of only been a starter here for a year or two because he just can't run like he use to and he was never anything other then decent. Plus this draft looks like it has up to 6 or 7 future starters at FS.
From the comments he made and in contrast with his comments on the trip down I'd say he is either Bipolar or was only using the Dolphins for leverage... REALLY pisses me off! He said he'd sign over the phone. IF it is a bogus report I'll forgive him, otherwise he's a real snake...
i wanted him but could care less he stayed in pittsburgh. we will find someone just as good if not better. it wasnt like he was #1 guy just a fill in. is pittsburgh on our schedule this year. if they are its going to awesome watching henne torch him.
I think that if they wanted Atogwe that we wouldn't have been pushing to get Rolle and Clarke. I know that his name has been thrown around here a lot, but for some reason it doesn't seem like the Front Office is really excited about him.
IMHO if the FO really wanted this guy then he would have signed here. It would have been like the Dansby deal and him not being able to leave until the contract was signed. But some of us need to remember that Some are not just about the money, some really look at the grand picture and go based off of that. I mean I have kids and the school district was an important factor in where I was purchasing my home. Clark just weighed his options and he probably felt that Pittsburgh was a better place for him and his family. With that being said, am I a little worried that we do not have a FS? yes I am and I hope that this works it self out... Just my opinion though..
I'm sorry, I just don't understand how our FO is at fault for this? When a guy comes to your town, says I want to play for your team, goes through all the motions, and then when you hand him a pen he doesn't use it... how is there any way to read his bluff? He probably gave them the exact same dog and pony show that he gave the media. At the end of the day it sucks, but whatever, it's not like he was some sort of all star FS. It definitely would have been an improvement, but there's other FAs out there, and it's a deep draft. This isn't the end of the world, and we've already got a pretty key piece to our defense (Dansby) out of this FA period.
You are correct. No way this is the fault of our FO. We went after someone we liked, too bad we were used by Clark to open The Steelers eyes.
You guys get all worked up over this honestly it doesn't even matter, the guy was a short term solution for Safety, he's 31 years old with some health concerns. Not even that great in coverage and that was our main issue last season. Like I said for the right price I would have liked him here but I know we would need to find a real starter through the draft. We could look at Pool who does well in coverage and could probably teach Earl Thomas some things if we end up drafting him.
http://community.kdvr.com/_Ryan-Clark-explains-why-he-didnt-sign-with-the-Dolphins/BLOG/1960721/96399.html Interesting this doesn't add up with what his agent saying. Not sure how this Denver station is getting these quotes from Clark seems odd? I remember they had a quote from him also on the night he left Miami they talked to him in the airport via cell phone i think it was.
but the Insanity Workout will require healthy and balanced nutrition due to its intensity. Healthy and balanced nutrition is made of all of the proper minerals and vitamins needed to make it through the challenging and hard workouts designed into the insanity workout schedule.
Wow. Presuming that is true, I take back all the bad things I said about Clark. Our FO fvcked this up by lowballing him. I can't believe it. They had no qualms with throwing a huge contract at Wilson, starter money to be sure, then won't do the same for an obviously better player. This on top of the fact they could have resigned Renaldo Hill last year for a third of what was paid Wilson. In 2008, once Hill became the starting FS was when our secondary came together. I seriously question this regime's ability to evaluate safety talent.
They're simply out of their mind sometimes. They try to have a player match a price type nonsense that's never worked and goes against all logic. It's the reason they signed Eric Green instead of Leigh Bodden those types of moves. So they offer Rolle 5/32 and they can't offer seemingly even close to the ballpark of 4/17m. 4/17m for Clark is quite reasonable. If the entire cap (if it were still there) would be around 130m that's a pin drop for a free agent signing. We don't have a large payroll either. Ross has very little on his plate, Huizenga's paid the massive bonuses and Dansby's salary is far form a barn burner. They got cheap, they'll pay for it unless Culver steps up. We don't have the draft picks to cover a multitude of positions.
ya i think he is but it doesnt look like the dolphins are intersted in him but i would love to sign sharper for a one year deal would be pretty nice
