And I mean the guys that are unrestricted, or in a matching situation. The big guy from Cincy (Pako?) is available. Eason from Pittsburgh? Young saftey from the Browns?
The safety sitution is not a good one. I think a NT can be gotten to serve now. I just read a proposal from the Chargers media that stated they should trade a 2nd and Ginn for Vincent Jackson. Interesting. Would you do that?
Not a lot of youth in that free agency group, but guys like Pako, who are in their mid 20s can be had.

OJ Atogwe FS & Derrick Mason WR. Atogwe is one of the best young FS in the NFL. Derrick Mason is coming of 1,000 yard season, but deserves a look

Don't understand why everyone thinks TO is sooo much better than Derrick Mason. They are the same age and Mason doesn't run his mouth every week.

Atogwe will be 29 when the season starts, he's not exactly young.
Concussions aside, I'd be tempted to take a flyer on Brodney Pool. Not for huge money, maybe try to get him on the cheap.
At WR I'd offer Mason the 2 year deal he is after unless they think Pat Turner might actually suit up this year (I'm expecting him to get cut in the offseason though).
