Using a second round pick would be a huge mistake, this draft is
to deep, not to mention defense is the number one priority

It's the pick and nothing else that makes me wonder about Leon Washington. Otherwise I'm extremely interested. It may be a situation of waiting to see what he gets tendered with next year and telling him we have interest.

I can't imagine that Miami or the Patriots would give the Jets a second rounder for Washington. I guess they could just be trying to provide Washington with a little leverage in negotiations.

I just think our picks are too valuable to take any chances on guys who may be a question mark or coming off of an injury. I would never want to give a pick to the Jets and then they use that pick every year to kill us.

Out of all the players out there with a second round tender on them I doubt we would take the one that is a situational tender.

it dont make sense, why not use the pick and draft a rb better than washington. if they are looking for a back.

Not sure of the validity of this but Washington is a playmaker. He's the best player on the Jets offense behind Mangold. I know of plenty of Jets fans who would be pissed to see Washington go. I can't imagine they would be too happy with him going to the us...

I'd rather pick up LaGarrette Blount in the 2nd or 3rd than give a 2nd for Washington.

Justin Fargas as a two year third-string RB would be an excellent choice. He's averaged about 4 YPC behind that piece of **** line in Oakland for years.

I don't think I'd give up a 2nd for him, unless they feel that Cobbs isn't what they want. Cobbs seem to show pretty well to me, but the injury may have been worse than we thought or they just may not be happy with him...if so, that would be the only reason I see them going after Washington. However, he does fill the return positions that we have weaknesses at, whether or not he competes with snaps with Cobbs...

I don't know, a lot of things could come into play with a move like that. If they feel that LW and the other running backs could do the job and they feel confident RB could be moved for a 1st then that would more than make up for the second we would use on Washington. With two No#1s we could pick up two premium players in this draft.

No way Leon Washington is worth a 2nd round pick after that injury he suffered. If we can't get a 1st round pick for Ronnie Brown then no way in hell Leon Washington is worth a 2nd.

I don't view them as being all that valuable, that said, the #43 for a rehabbing Leon Washington?

    Pass..pass...pass...

I think what he is trying to say is that if we show interest and the Pats and a few other teams that when it comes time for the Jets to negotiate his contract it gives him more power to ask for more money which either forces the Jets to spend more than they want to spend or let a pretty good player go.

Ugh, if he weren't a Jet. If they do get him, they'd better make sure they properly delouse the guy.

Just because were interested in LW doesnt mean we have to part with a 2nd rounder. The Jets dont want to pay him and would trade him for less - maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Problem is, I dont think the Dolphins would want to pay him either.

I would rather draft a running back, then trade for LW.

I think they pass also. We have too many needs to fill especially on defense to be throwing away picks to of all teams the Jets. The draft is too good this year and the picks are far too important to be trading around,if they were going to trade draft picks away for anyone it would have been Boldin and we saw how that turned out,so I don't they are serious about trading a 2nd for him.

He did play well there, but he just failed a physical for them. We really wouldn't need another rb like Fargas unless RB got traded or Cobbs is in bad shape.

Wouldn't mind seeing if Crazy Al could use PW or Ginn though.

So one of the few offensive players we're confirmed to have interest in is a running back? It figures.

    Slightly left of center
Huggie bears baby is not better than Cobbs. But if they could get Michael Bush from the Raiders, that would be a steal.

At least that confirms interest in a third-down RB.
