    Hey guys,

For some reason I do miss you guys! I check Finheaven.com almost everyday in hopes of the site being up and running. Does anyone have any new information regarding the status? And furthermore, is there anything we/I can do to help? Donation, etc...? Please let me know and don't hesitate to ask...I'll b e more than happy to donate.

Now just some thought -- keep your heads up -- it must be brutal watching week after week -- but as we all pretty much agreed on -- a rebuilding year, not a retooling year. I think the starting of Beck is the right call, granted how bad he has looked at times. I like the whole idea of throw him into the fire. The same can not be said for the raiders and j. russell. I still don't understand why they're not putting him in there.

As you all know, I really can't stand Cam and his playcalling. I've said that a million times even before he was hired -- but his decision to start Beck is the right move. One of his very few decisions that I agree with. IF and I say a big IF the Fins do go 0-16, I think the organization is hand tied and MUST make a move to let Cam go. It's a bit unfortunate, but heads must roll if 0-16 is accomplished. Do I think Cam should get another year? Sure. Has he improved his playcalling? I don't know to be honest. But one and out is never an answer ESPECIALLY considering it's a rebuilding year. Let's all hope Mueller is smart enough to give him one more year -- but chances are for marketing and PR standpoint -- he probably will get fired.

Is Cam to blame? Sure. Is it all his fault, of course not. I think more than anything injuries (obviously). However, some of his early playcallings and decisions that I saw were questionable. As said, sometimes Cam overthinks the situation too much rather than go with what's 'normal.'

Does anyone have a status on Ronnie Brown? How bad? Expected on the shelf? Etc...?

And lastly, Chambers. Good God, I love this guy. He only has 2 TD's this year but easily could have an additional 2 if it weren't for a holding call and P.Rivers missing him TWICE wide open as he got behind the secondary.
His ability to make the first defender miss is amazing, and the way he finds the soft zone is a thing of beauty. On top of that, he's a VERY quiet leader and I've seen him coach VJ on the sidelines during practice and at the game. One thing I have noticed is the extra time he's putting in after practice with James Lofton. Little details of route running he seems to try and pick Lofton's brain -- it's pretty cool to see for a veteran with his stature still asking for coaching.

Besides Jamal Williams, who's my favorite player -- Chambers is easily becoming my favorite player.

I was on the field during his first TD of the year and caught the only shot -- I'll post it in a bit.

Hey bro. I'm somewhat of a usual suspect I suppose, depends on how usual you wanna call me lol. Thanks for the thoughts and although I didn't like the trade of Chambers, it was a good trade for both organizations. When watching the games, you can really tell how much his presence helps the other guys out. It's good to see one of my favorite players in Chambers do well.

And for donations... anything will help bro. I don't know the exact address but I'm sure Fin Fan in Cali will be here posting it up soon. Good to see you again, good luck of the rest of the year.

    Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?

They're all around, LT... Nice to see you here.

The status of Finheaven is thus: When it's ready we'll let you know. No solid timetable since all the folks doing the work are volunteers and have real-life issues.

Agree with the thoughts on Cam for the most part. Hopefully, Cam is using this year to get his offense into place and next year there will be an OC hired to take the playcalling duties. While I'm not happy with the results of the season so far, I like where Cam seems to be going with the team. I fervently hope that this horrible season is simply the "growing pains" stage and next year we'll have a better season. I really don't want to have to hire another HC and start all over again, personally.

Last status report about Ronnie that I heard was that his ACL was surgically repaired by Dr. Andrews (seems to do all the _CL surgeries...)

Glad to hear Chambers is doing well for the Chargers. I'm assuming he hasn't been dropping a whole bunch of easy passes and catching the acrobatic ones? :confused2: Such is the way with former 'Phins...

I think Cameron would make a decent O-coord but I don't think he has what it takes to be a head coach (he did fail at Indiana too). I just don't think he and maybe Randy have made the best moves and have had their experiments blown up in their faces. People have been fired for less and we shouldn't settle for less.

Yeah, great trade for both organizations. A 2nd round pick, if used properly can pay HUGE dividends in the long run...hell for that matter, late first round picks work out also.

Yeah, got the info from Fin Fan...sending over a donation later today.

He is absolutely amazing. I remember people saying he ran horrible routes, etc... did he have this problem in Miami? From what I've seen he runs them pretty crisp.

If I were to describe Chambers with 1 word, it would be: PROFESSIONAL

INCONSISTENT is what I would label him as...

we got a 2nd for him, and I do think that was a great deal for both teams. I've always thought he was a good routerunner, but he didn't always do well at getting separation on the deep throws...

    glad you like him though...

Yeah -- good trade for both. I've yet to see the inconsistencies that people talk about...but I just LOVE his attitude. The way he talks the media, his teammates, and that alone---he's the perfect teammate.

Hmm..Not debating with you -- but it seems as if he does get pretty good separation from his defenders. Like mentioned earlier -- there are at least 3 throws that I know of that Rivers short armed when CC was at least 3-4 yards ahead of his defenders. What are the chances that people think he doesnt have separation speed due to constant double coverage when playing Miami?

it's certainly possible....evaluating talent on a team that has sucked *** for 5 years straight usually isn't accurate...

this is the team sport of all team sports...beck looks bad, but how would he look in a well formed pocket with time to stand and deliver passes?

just one example...and how many ex-dolphins are on the pats? heath evans, sammy morris, larry izzo? these guys were mediocre here and have excelled when surrounded by other talented players....(i know morris got hurt but b4 that he was doing very well)

i will say chambers didn't make the plays when given the opportunities on a consistent basis...i'm sure part of that is a side affect of losing, poor qb play, etc...it seemed he did take plays off, and i wouldn't say he was a very good blocking WR...

Not that it matters, but honestly, I think the play that got reviewed at the end of regulation was not a catch by Chambers. Your team got a huge break there, and of course, our second round pick lost value. That's just how our season goes. Anyway, good luck for the season, I'll root for any team but one.

I have a new HATRED for the jeff fisher and that team.

How they intentionally took out Merriman is ridiculous! All because vy ran into him....I love smash mouth football, but regardless of who you hate, what team you play for, you never take cheap shots...on top of that, it was unwarranted.

Merriman might get annoying with his dances, but one thing he has never been is someone that takes cheap shot...does he hit hard, sure...but since they couldnt control him yesteday, they take illegal action to get him out..come on.

I hate to ***** and moan about it, but uncalled for. As much as I hate the raiders, I would never condone a cheap shot and or something that might make a player miss games. RIDICULOUS.

And from what I've heard through my sources, fisher called for the illegal crack back....Ughh!

Your sources??? Who are your sources, and what source is going to be able to tell you less than 24hrs after a game that a head coach ordered an illegal hit???

Come on dude, I too live in San Diego so I know how you Charger fans are. Be careful what you say on here because since I live among Charger fans I can easily expose you for the type of fan you are. ha ha ha

Chris was a great guy. Couldn’t catch the football, but a great guy. I’m glad you like him. I’m really glad to have that pick for next year. I’m sure a couple of our tight ends are great guys too, any interest?

The separation aspect of his game had improved leaps and bounds in the last year IMO. Some have written that he didn't have amazing quickness, but I thought the initial burst was very good, would love to see his short shuttle times. He always ran beautifully, had a fluid stride, I thought, especially the curl route. The inconsistency was often brought about in his time here, even dating back to his time with the Badgers, Alvarez would often get on his case about him needing to play 60 minutes.

My main issue with Chambers was the dreaded slant pattern. Some say he changed after the Kennoy Kennedy hit, that he was never the same. It was true that you could still see him hearing footsteps at times, be it by him dropping the bubble screen, or short arming the slant. It's weird that I write about him in the past, if only that he probably does the same things today, only that I wouldn't know, having not seen him since he left.

The Ronnie Brown situation is unclear. The team isn't letting any real information come out.

As for Chris Chambers the big knock on him here was inconsistency - looking great on one play and then dropping an easy pass on the next. If the trade has made him wake up and work hard on that aspect of his game then you'll love him for a long time.

Cameron's playcalling hasn't been too bad by phins standards, but remember we suffered through 5 years of Wanny ball and a year of Mularky, so the bar has been set pretty low.

Did not see the hit myself, but I did read about it. The little I have read said it was a "Hit from Fisher"... that just sucks, IF true.

But karma could come into play here with SM from the Holmes hit. Sure it was a clean hit but was the body of SM clean???

I think CC was a much better player than given credit here in Miami. That happens with most any pro player on any pro team that cannot find a way to WIN!!! He will drop some easy balls, but makes the HARD/INCREDIBLE catch in clutch times. He will keep making plays in SD and next season will have a SOLID year 1,000+ yards.

If the pick we got for him turns out to be a SOLID player then great for both of us. But if the player turns out to be an eddie moore....:(

I do not think we can draft a WR in the second round as good as him. So I do not think the trade will be good for us in the end. We will draft an D-Lineman or O-Lineman and he will spend a couple of seasons getting better. Then in about 2 or 3 seasons he MIGHT be a SOLID STARTER here in Miami. The only problem is that Beck will be close to 30 and still feeling the effect of NOT HAVING a TRUE #1 WR.

Beck is struggling right now for MANY REASONS...but be sure one of them is not having a guy like CC to throw the rock around with during the ol' ballgame.

It really does not matter much for the Dolphins. They are about 3-4 good drafts or 6-7 okay drafts from rebuilding for another long stretch of playoff dreams. But it sure makes it easier as a fan screaming about a good play even during a losing blowout game.:ffic:

Well...C-Ya in the playoffs in about a 5 years. I just wonder how many games SM will be suspended for during that time for juice....:confused2::thumbup::wave:
