    Per Rotoworld:

The Bucs and Rams have reportedly explored a deal that would send the No. 3 overall pick, a third-round pick, and QB Josh Johnson to St. Louis for the first overall selection.
The Bucs would then draft Ndamukong Suh with the No. 1 pick. According to Scout.com, the Rams compare Johnson to Michael Vick athletically, and they believe he has even more upside as a passer. While Johnson is an intriguing developmental QB, he's not close to being ready to start at the NFL level. The proposed deal makes sense for the Bucs, but it wouldn't solve the Rams' quarterback dilemma for 2010. Feb. 20 - 2:39 pm et

The Rams should be asking for more for NDominator Suh. This dudes as close to a sure thing as I have seen since Peyton Manning. But interesting proposal. I have never been a fan of Josh Johnson so I think thats pretty much a waste but for as QB needy a team as the Rams are its not a bad idea to get out of that 1 slot and see if Bradford or Claussen make it to 3. One of them is guaranteed to be there if the Bucs are after Suh so getting out of that 1 spot makes financial sense.

About two months ago, Peter King stated that he could see the Bucs moving up to get Suh because he's the only option they feel they have on their big board in the first round.

Well, the Rams Franchise has been stuck on stupid for years now, at least since the SB runs and M Martz took over, so a 3rd rd pick and a Qb who never play for the Bucs should be enough to entice those dodos into making such a move...

NFLN was reporting the Rams thought J Johnson was the next Mike Vick...to which I say...if they say so...no wonder Spagnola has a parachute clause if the Franchise is sold.

Not a bad trade for the Rams, whichever player available to them at #3 is going to walk straight into the starting lineup. McCoy may still be available at that spot if they feel DT is the way to go, but there are numerous other options.

This doesnt make sense for St Louis really with Johnson included. They need to get more picks and take Clausen at 3.

This seems like a legit possibility. I really like it from the Bucs perspective, but the Rams should be asking for more.

Man, why couldn't Pat White show up against the Steelers, surely he could've been more enticing then Josh Johnson.:pity: SUH on the Dolphins is a perfect scenario.

Smoke and mirros Rafi, what the article fails to mention is the Bucs owners, the Glazer's dire financial condition, to trade up to #1 overall would add maybe 15 to 20 million to their payroll with losses approaching the hundreds of millions for their Manchester United UK soccer club, why would they volunteer to pay into a business they are draining money out of to prop up a different business?

For some reason I was thinking of Josh Freeman I was thinking that was going to be a horrible move by the bucs but seeing how it is just Josh Johnson I would do that if I was the bucs

Seeing as how the Rams will most likely draft Claussen or Bradford with that pick, all they're really acquiring is a 3rd round pick.

They have got to do better than a total project and a 3rd rounder.

Its not a bad trade for the Rams. No one else is going to offer as much for the number one pick and the Rams still get to draft the Qb they want at 3. I'm sure the Rams would love to get more but they need extra draft picks and developmental players more than they need one defensive player, although Suh is one of the best defensive prospects I've seen in many a year. I'd probably sit there and take him but if the Rams are committed to taking one of the Qbs this is probably the best deal they are going to get.
