I wouldn't be suprised to see us acquire a 3-4 defensive end this offseason since It looks like Philip Merling will be moving to SOLB.
Can someone please link me to where it talks about Merling being moved to SOLB? I keep hearing people talking about it every once in a while and I am still yet to see any support for it. When he was drafted I thought that was where he was meant to play, but since then I have seen no evidence to support his shift to this position. Especially considering his weight his currently over 290lbs. Edit** Don't get me wrong though, I think it could definitely be a move he could make and would be good at. He would just need to lose some weight.
