That sure would not suck if he came here. Wonder what the price would be?

could solidify the defensive backfield @ FreeSafety  I believe a deal can be struck because of what we have to offer as a franchise to a serious young, but proven talent & his desire to return home

We definately have a need at Free Safety. But, doesn't that say he has a year remaining on his contract?

    1) he wants to come (home) to Miami
    2) Antrel is in his last year & would be very expensive w/ bonuses owed & a newly structured contract for the cardinals to keep
    3) w/ Werner retiring & injuries on the offensive line, the Cardinals have other priorities in 2010
    4) this is a real possibility & opportunity

It says the Cardinals will likely cut him to avoid paying a $4million bonus by March 1. If they cut him, he's free game. Heck yes, would love to see him back there with Bell. Would IMHO eliminate the need to draft a FS since I think we've got his ultimate replacement in Culver anyway. Or is it Clemons? Nate Jones? I'm terrible at names, plus on pain meds now so gimme a break,

I don't see any reason why we shouldn't go after this guy. We have a major need for a (real) free safety.

There is ZERO chance they just cut him.
Truth is, especially if they trade Boldin, the Cards will be just fine in Cap Space.

Solid player at a position of need. I would love for this to happen if the price isn't too high.

Yeah, well...just trying to be realistic.
I would love nothing more than for us to get Carlos Dansby, Anquan and heck, throw Darnel Dockett in there as well....but, it just doesn't happen like that.

no it doesn't but if I had my druthers i would much rather have Rolle than Boldin
Antrelle is a great young player and would solidify a need without giving up a pick
i still hate the idea of giving up even a third round pick for Boldin
his better days are behind him
Rolle could have a bright future with the Dolphins

Oh, I would take either of them in a heartbeat, either instantly makes us a MUCH better team, and both are very clearly positions of need.
I just don't see the Cards simply cutting Rolle anymore than they would Boldin....that's all I'm saying.
I would, without hesitation, give up a 3rd for either one

They just covered him on NFL Total Access. He's a bit bigger than his brother but he's a very bright kid.

Just went back and read it again, that's what I get for skimming it the first time. Bring him on! If we can pay Gerbil 8 mil or so, we should be able to pay someone who can actually play Free Safety enough to get him here.

100%. I'll be fair to Wilson here. He did at times play pretty well. But other times - way too many of them too, he just got burned, beaten and butt humped.
He's too similar to Bell and we really do not need 2 of them. Antrelle Rolle would be a huge help.

    Wilson is a strong safety
i.e. we have two starting strong safeties
    one of which
is usually obliged to play @ FreeSafety
    not good
we need a legitimate starter @ FreeSafety
like to see us pick up Rolle & trade Bell

FreeSafety not StrongSafety is the problem

Wilson & Bell are comparable in talent
six of one, half dozen of the other
    Bell has greater trade potential
and Wilson has youth on his side
    my best guess:
one of the two will go & it won't not be Wilson

FreeSafety not StrongSafety is the problem

As always I appreciate your guess/opinion bro, but Wilson's lack of stones sickens me and I would be surprised if they kept him. :tongue2:

I respectfully believe you are wrong about Wilson.
he was sacrificed playing out of position.
as a strong safety he is top drawer.
we need to fortify our defense straight up the middle
the only exception being @ StrongSafety.
we need a NT, ILB, FreeSafety

yeah his demeanor is spot on......hey maybe they get Antrell, pick Myron, cut Wilson, and trade Bell...In the end would anybody really be that upset if both of them were to leave...?? I mean if Bell left I would a little...but not Wilson

Apparently Dansby was on the radio and said that Miami was a place of interest for him....

    from Schein via twitter....

dansby on giants - "if they have interest in me, why not? let's go" - also listed sd, mia, and washington as interesting options.

    think about it.
Strong Safety is the only position of strength
we have filled in our center defense.
why would they undo both Wilson & Bell? Illogical.
    think about it.

The thinking for some is that their skills are comparable but Wilson is a couple years younger than Bell.

If they drafted a Myron Rolle or anybody for that matter....and he replaced thpse 2 you wouldn't need those 2....provided Antrell comes aboard..

We are absolutely the worst at picking up big talent in FA. No way this happens...and when it doesn't happen, it will be because of something very minor.

All I know is that when Bell makes a tackle he lowers his shoulder wraps up and makes contact. Where as Wilson who tends to shut his eyes and grasp blindly for a piece of jersey.
