I agree, Carter needs to pick it up bigtime, or go to the bench. Right now he's severly getting out-played by JJ Reddick.
We looked pretty good the last three games, although we lost the first of those. Just seems like we went from being a really good road team, to one that primarily wins at home. Carter definitely needs to step it up and not play like a local favorite who's along for the ride in the last few years of his career.
Wow, that was kinda scary for a second, going into OT against Charlotte. We've got to perform better on the road. And the Celts are coming up soon! I want to see boot camp training going into the game against Boston this week!
No matter if it's ugly or not, a win is a win. However I do agree, that they better crank it up a couple of notches if they expect to beat Boston.
Magic 106, Bobcats 95 Game Recap Box Score Game observations/thoughts: 1. Hey a Vince Carter sighting; 8-16, 21pts, 5 boards, 3ast; if he keeps playing like that, VC might be relevant after all. 2. Dwight was good, and bad tonight with 10pts, 6turnovers, 7blocks, 20boards. 3. I know Shard scored 18pts tonight, but there's just something that seems off on his game right now(shot is inconsistent). I hope when playoff time comes around he has it figured out, he was huge for Orlando last year during that time. 4. Again Matt Barnes was/is a damn good addition to the team, he does all of the "intangible"(dirty work) things that don't always show up in the stat sheet(defense, rebounding, timely scoring). 5. Nice to see Jameer wake up, and have a decent game.
hopefully the winning continues. magic need to win 16 more in a row to get back to .750, which is where the Cavs are right now.
I'm seeing signs that they're starting to learn how to play together. With five new players having to learn the system, and learn how to play with guys already on the team it just takes time to build chemistry.
I see what you're seeing as well, TD13. Carter and the rest of the team are gelling. Rashard Lewis, imo, isn't having that bad of a season. But I see what you mean. He's shooting 42% right now, and his career average is .46%. He needs to pick it up.
Now is the time of year to get everybody playing together. No more injuries, no more weak players. It's coming up on the stretch soon to making the playoffs. Let's make it happen.
Magic 94, Grizzlies 99 Just when you think this team is turning the corner, and now they have Boston coming up Thursday. Game Recap Box Score I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm tired of hearing the excuse "they wanted it more".
Magic Rumors Found this off of another board, didn't have a link posted, so I don't know where the rumors came from.
Crazy as it sounds, we might do ok against the Celtics tonight. Seems like the guys always play the worst against teams that should get blown out.
Big game coming up tonight against the Atlanta Hawks. They're in front for the Southeast right now, and them being a winning team, I expect us to do well.
Gortat played 7 minutes this game, after 27 the last game. He deserves more time, IMO, and should start at the 4.
Ryan Anderson was on fire last night. That may of had something to do with it. I too would like to see more of Gortat. While we are at it, I would like to see more of Reddick and less of Carter.
After two wins in a row against winning teams, the Magic get a test tonight against a 15-30 Detroit Pistons. In this Bizarro world of Magic basketball, I wouldn't be too down on them if we lost.
Had a great game winning 99-82 against the Bucks tonight, even with Nelson and Pietrus injured. Carter had a good night, along with Howard. Next up are the Washington Bullet Wizards at home on Thursday night.
My buddy was at that game last night, his mom got him Magic tickets for his birthday. Turned out to be a crappy gift. To let them come back like that and win with almost no time left was a heartbreaker.
Always nice to beat the Boston Celtics! It was an awesome game. Nice way to come back from that 1st half performance and dominate in the 3rd quarter.
Vince Carter was unstoppable in the 2nd half last night. The Hornets are probably wondering wtf just happened. New Orleans scored 70 in the first half, and lost.
Hornets 117, Magic 123 Sorry about the tardiness of this score, couldn't get to a computer until now. Game Recap Box Score
It's Magic time tonight, time to see if we're getting better or on a lucky streak. We're playing arguably the best team in basketball right now, they are on fire. Let's go up there and shut them down. They need a wake up call. Maybe James will be man enough to hang out and shake hands after this game. Go Magic!
Gotta love the NBA scheduling here. Orlando goes on the road against Cleveland in their 4th game in 5 nights, meanwhile the cavs played their 2nd game in 5 nights, the other being against the Nets...as if that even counts as a game. Magic couldnt shoot at all tonight, Im shocked they were in it late into the game. Im really starting to get miffed about Bass not getting any floor time. We clearly need help in the interior.
