I will not settle for less than a 2nd for Bell... I'll keep him, 100% guarantee it... the 2.55 salary is minimal. Now Gibril on the other hand. I don't need two strong safeties that are starter quality. If you look at the FA market for strong safeties, and if GW were to join the pool, you'd have to put him in the top five at that position... again strong safety. I think that is worth something in that you can trade for him and the cap number is a low $900K.
AND he had to drink Yank Beer That's okay. I think were pretty well set at Safety....of course, that is the ONLY place we're set, but its a start
i know you were just messing around, but I used the opportunity to voice my opinion and get the word out again... press whore that i am
I am Kenny Williams (White Sox GM) at it's finest. Keep trades hush and if the asking price is to high, I will notify the media.
Oh well, I compared them to my White Sox. Basically KW tells Ozzie about a certain deal pricing and Ozzie runs his mouth. That's where I get it from.
I hate baseball but when I used to watch ESPN, it seemed like I saw his big mouth on ESPN once or twice a week.
Yes, we love Byrd and also we are high on Wilson at the other safety position and overall we are high on our entire defensive backfield....starters and depth. The salary relief was a factor as well. BTW, great post. The analysis of the trades is a good read.
Man there's been a lot of big trades early. I'm like the only one who hasn't made a significant trade. My biggest acquisition aside from a draft pick is Bernard Scott.
