Jets stepped up to the plate and offered what we wanted all along for Ricky... a 4th round pick... we clear some much needed cap space. If Welker can be traded to the Pats... :shifty:

Paul you are outrageous for thinking Bell is worth more than a late 3rd.... let alone you wanted a high 2nd from me?

I think it was a mid to late 2nd... and way to go public with our negotiation... :pity:

I do feel Bell is worth a 2nd... if I don't get that, I'll keep him. and his 2.55 salary because I like Bell... always have. Heckuva player.

I agree that is a bit high....but I also agree that any and all negotiations should be kept in secret
BTW: If Bell is worth a 2nd to you, what would you give me for Adrian Wilson :shifty:

I can understand moving Scott but Sanchez? I think you could've held out on Sanchez and waited for a better offer. Don't take it so personally, but since you are I wont comment on your trades if it offends you.

    Wait wait.
You expect a 2nd for Y-Burnt-toast-bell, but would only give up a 2nd for one of the very best safeties in the league?
Yeah, that is a little bit crazy

lol... Adrian Wilson's extra 3 mill in cap space levels things up. I'm assuming you expect... a first, a second, Jake Long, Chad Henne and Vontae Davis? and where was AW when his defense was giving up 80 points in two playoff games?

it isnt that, comment away it was the mulltiple comments that i was responding to..

I moved Sanchez because i got Big Ben n being cap strung, 2.5 mil was more yhan coul take on for a backup.

if i didnt do that deal, i wouldnt have gotten a 4 for Scott. held out from tthe get go for more. NOONE BUT Fin-Omenal bid. and it was 5th. now i had a deal for a 1st, for Sanchez, but they bailed. i had a couple conversations over the week bout Sanchez, noone else even hinted bout going higher than a 2. would someone? maybe eventually, but how long do i hold out? for me i wanted the trade phase (majority of it, major done so i could plan where to place my resources. and if i held out the opposite risk is i dont get higher than a second. so i decide to lower to a second and gain 2.5 mil cap. then discussions w/ clev heat up i want higher than 5 for scott, he doesnt want to give nore than 5 w/ 7.5 cap. so he comes up to 4 i come down on sanchez. to me a 3 n 4 r better than 2 n 5. if i got a 1 for sanchez yes that would be better (1 n 5) but no hint a 1 was forthcoming, 2 teams told me no way on a 1.

so in essences i did it to gain 10 mil in cap space and get some picks

It just seems you settled for less on Sanchez. If your happy with the trade thats all that matters.

happy? not so much, disappointed no?

is what it is, this isnt real nfl, so your time is limited, options are limited. you make the best deal you can. can you get burned? sure. but in the endin this game, is did u improve the team and who did it better. so to me it is the end product, not the ind parts. by waiting i risk not getting the better deal and then eat scotts salary or cut him because teams used their cap space. remember, for me the deal was as much bout scott as it was sanchez.

w/o that deal, i cant afford ricky's 3.4 cap hit

so based on the risks, i feel comfortable i was able to bet picks and cap space, and factoring in scott, got the best deal that was known and avail. remember Sanchez was on block day 1, and i have been active everyday and noone was beating down my door. noone else seemed to value sanchez as much as you. alone no way do i take 3, but w/o lowering to a 3 in a combo with scott, i dont get a 4 and unload 7.5 off the cap.

Tell him to go jump in a hole after covering himself in petrol, and then get a jets fan to set him alight mate  there is a reason for Wilson's 5.5 m contract afterall

If you mean Bob Sanders, I wouldnt move more than a third given his injury history.

Then again I wouldnt move more than a late 4th for Bell.

I think we got em beat now AZ. We have about 7 defensive players left now. The way you are going we could end up fielding the Kicker, punter, water boy and myself as the starting backfield.
