You're making me realize how old I am, I've been a Fin fan along time "not that I have a choice or want one".
So very true and btw David would have been as good a RB as we have seen on our team short of say Zonk! As to being less than thrilled about a pick imvho Sammy Smith stands head and shoulders above anyone else named. He makes Ted Ginn seem like a Super Star!
Any players who were brought in and failed to perform up to expectations and let the team down could be named but I truly believe the one person or persons that bumbled all of those drafts has to get a mention all by themselves. Those years of terrible drafts were a disaster in the making that had more effect on the slide of this franchise than any one player or even a group of players. The 1-15 Dolphins became the worst Dolphin team in history because there simply wasn't any youth to build on and grow with. There are plenty of names that could be listed as most hated or disliked or whatever but after Jimmy Johnson's last draft it went down hill for a number of years and Miami ended up with not just a bad team but a terrible team and the cupboard was empty.
I hated Jay Fiedler with a passion. Most of all I hated his interviews. "Uhhh, uhhhh, uhhhhh, durrrr" STFU AND DO WORK!!!!!! He also NEVER took the blame for his many, many F up's. Also, THURMAN THOMAS. Wes Welker (yeah, that's right). Jamar Fletcher. Jerry Wilson. David Boston. Eddie Moore (admittedly not his fault -- it's because Anquan Boldin wasn't a Dolphin in his place). James McKnight. Lawrence Phillips. Kirby Dar Dar. Reggie Howard. J.B. Brown. Tim Ruddy (his face). Current? Channing Crowder. He's just an idiot, IMO. On and off the field. I loved Ted Ginn too much in college to hate him now. I'll always root for him to improve. I was one of the rare fans of that pick. I jumped for joy.
Mine Kareem Abdul Jafraud Cecil The Peeper Collins Duriel Harris for being an idiot an ruining a promising career by injuring himself during a TD celebration AJ AJ AJ AJ pick six makes me wince every time I think about him Otto D'oh Stowe
