lol....he may as well add Larry Gordon to his list. How dare they die while under contract, the nerve.
And may he RIP. However, we are talking about on the field and playing for our Phins. One thing has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the other. There is a separation between church, state, and football. JMO
I actaully agree. Both would have needed a 1986 Bears, 1999 Ravens, or 2004 Steelers defense to win a Superbowl.
Kumerow, Bosa, James Pruitt, Karim Abdul-Jabbar, Olivadotti, Jay, Ray, and Welker I dislike Jay because of his interviews. He never too responsibility for his suckiness
Terrell Buckley - I hated how he played CB. Guaranteed to give up at least one big play a game. Eddie Moore - Mainly because I couldn't fathom how we drafted him. Lawrence Phillips - Does this need to be explained?
I do not really understand by hating a player because of where he was drafted. It is not like they draft themselves
True, but the fact he followed Danny Boy made him appear much worse. Heck, if we had him in 2006, we may have won more than six games. We've done worse since him!
You are right of course, but that was Jay - he never quit, and in many cases, especially in '00 and '01, he would do something that would make up for his shortcomings - through pure grit. That game was a great example - sure, he threw the pick six, but then he kept fighting and made the game-winning play. That was Jay - low on talent, huge on heart. Man, this is twice I'm defending Fiedler today. What the heck!
Mine were Cox. He was an idiot IMO. I know some of you liked Tony Nathan, but I could not stand him for some reason. I do remember two fumbles at the goal line he made, but I just couldn't stand him over all. I forgot seau, he still makes my blood boil. And most every coach since Shula, except Tony so far. JJ just makes me sick to see him to this day. I did like Cam as a person, but not a coach.
Maybe I've forgiven but can't ever forget the feeling I had when I heard Ricky was up and retiring (still in his prime) right before the season. arrrgh Ricky!
I hated Moore because his name wasn't Anquan Boldin.......because he sucked..........and because he got knocked out in a bar fight
I cant say I hated any player that has worn a Dolphins uniform, but I could never take to Bud Brown. On the contrary i liked Bosa and thought he would be a good player down the line before he got injured.
I cant watch channing crowder play football at this point, and, his game isnt near good enough for me to care what he's sayin.
Apologies to anyone who may have named the individuals I list but I didn't want to be influenced in my opinion. 1. Jackie Shipp - joke of a linebacker 2. Sanders Shiver - same as above 3. Joe Thiesman - just because he didn't want to play for us. 4. Diesel - runningback/peeping tom still in jail I believe 5. Lastly there were a couple cb's who use to make me scream at the tv but their names fail me at the moment.
Funny thing is that I think the responses in this thread are a pretty good indicator of how long we've been Dolphin fans.
ill be positive here terry kirby was an excellent third down back tony paige nufff said anyone remember the stanley pritchett wheel route against the jets big play danny had his targets LOL bobby humphrey in rich stadium #44 in the middle Keith Jacksons first game as a Dolphin #25 was amazing that day
i hated jay fiedler, john beck and daunte culpepper but the guy who took the cake for me was ray lucas. i still remember seething when we played the packers on monday night
My friend said he really liked Overstreet as our #13 pick. He hated that he went to Canada (first 2wo years) over a contract dispute.
What was to hate about David Overstreet ?? The guy was our first 1000 yrd rusher since the 73 season then died tragically after his first season ?? I don't get that one... Milner and Eddie Moore are good ones...how about Robin Sendlein....For those who don't remember, he is what we received when we traded Cris Carter to the Vikes way back when... Fletcher wasn't a bad player, just playing out of position here. A lot of people like to hate on Jay Fiedler the most though. I know that he played his heart out for us, but he could never come thru when it counted most... He just wasn't good enough. But unfortunately, nearly everyone associates him with Dave Wannstache...that's the biggest insult of them all. Speaking of Wanny, he's not a player, but he's the one person in the Fins past organizations that I despise the most. First he was handed the job, second he was moderately successful enough to not lose his job, any success he may have had were due to JJ's players, particularly on D and he was the worst personnel guy of all times in any sport. He also made it 'not easy' for Marino to come back in his first year. Additionally, he set this organization up for failure until this regime came along. You don't erase 8 yrs of bad personnel moves in 3 or 4 seasons...
