If I were Ryan I might politely decline that invitation. That way they wont have to pan to him and his girlfriend everytime he's passed over. The Rogers/Quinn situation was like a bad reality show.

I don't think he'll have to wait nearly as long as Quinn did.

They cut down the time form 15 to 10 mins per pick.. That's a huge difference.

I don't think he'll be as bad as Quinn. With Quinn there was almost unanimous sentiment, that if Quinn slips it would not be past 9. With Ryan, there is no such consensus.

He'll be the pick. In the end Parcells will go with the franchise QB. Chris Long has no chance. Jason Taylor and Joey Porter will handle the outside duties for the next two years. Jake Long is nice but we can find a OT later. Matt Ryan is brought in and Beck is traded for a 4th rounder, mark my words

Jake Long is a higher quality prospect not only overall but also at his position, than Ryan is at his. Ryan isn't even as good a QB as McFadden is a RB, and there are serious concerns about McFadden.

There is no reason for the pick to be Ryan when there is so much better talent available elsewhere, and at positions of greater need.

Ryan is a bigger upgrade over Beck than Jake is over Carey and then Chris is over JT. Ryan will be the pick.

Lol. Yeah he's got "spirit". We're not going to draft Chris Long because Parcells is going to stick with the veterans in Porter and Taylor. Jake Long is possible but in the end will be passed over due to the depth of the position in the draft and the fact that a QB being paid 35 million is more justifiable than tackle. That and the fact that Ryan is the franchise QB he's going to need to build a team around

Maybe, but Carey and Long are a bigger upgrade at T with Beck/McCown at QB, than Ryan at QB with Carey and Julian Wilson at T.

If Jake Long is the pick, he is LT from day 1, and Carey moves back to RT.
If Chris Long is the pick he won't start in place of JT, but likely could start instead of Porter (who could kick inside).

But you dont draft Right Tackles with number 1s. So the upgrade is Long over Carey at left tackle and there really isnt an upgrade there.

Yea, well Carey over Julian Wilson is still an upgrade and the added quality at Tackle would be greater than the added quality at QB.

I don't get why people think Baltimore will draft Ryan if he's there. McNair is done, true, but Boller did well coming off the bench, and Troy Smith showed something at the end of the season. The Ravens' real problem isn't the QB position, it's the OL and WR spots.

Furthermore, does anyone really think that Cameron would sign off on Matt Ryan? We know Cameron has no problem getting a lesser name if he thinks the guy will work. Why take Matt Ryan in the first round and pass on, say, Jeff Otah if you think you can pick up a just-as-good Chad Henne later on?

Just because the Dolphins may not take him does not mean he'll slide like Quinn did. He slides no further than 8, mark my words.

The problem with Quinn was that he was 1 of 2 good QBs. Ryan is the ONLY QB who is grading out top of the first round, so someone will take him. Even should he make it past 8 somehow, there are teams like Carolina, Detroit and Chicago waiting in the teens who certainly would have to look very very hard at him.
If your Lovie Smith, try telling your fanbase that you passed up Ryan because you were still drinking the Rex-aid.

I'm not saying he gets picked early, but I still see ATL, KC, Jets and Baltimore as possible destinations. Baltimore having Boller and Smith are no reason not to pick a QB if you think he will be great. Smith was what, a 5th or a 6th last year?
