OK...I love Shula, but I am just wondering why a new statue was needed. What was wrong with the other statue at the stadium? [/img] So now there are 2 statues at the stadium for him? I know...he is one of the greatest ever and what he has done, and still does, for us and the game. I just don't get why there needed to be a new statue, when a perfectly good statue was already there.
Dolphins unveil new Shula statue, NFL announces Coach Shula Award Didn't see this posted yet - http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/...-shula-statue-nfl-announces-coach-shula-award Congrats to coach Shula! Anybody got a pic of the statue?
No, it's not. I think the new one has a couple players hoisting the coach on their shoulders after the perfect season. I'd love to see a picture of it if anyone can find (or take) one.
The one I posted is the old one. The new one has him on the shoulders of players being carried off the field.

I think its great and a reminder of the perfect season. There is nothing more fitting depicting the tradition that is Miami Dolphin football and the pride that goes with it. I think one player holding him on his shoulder is #85 Nick Buoniconti, who is the other one?
