-Rex Ryan [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXW3wZlqBMw&feature=player_embedded"]YouTube- Rex Ryan disses the Dolphins[/ame]
When your team misses the playoffs next year, you will be less amused by his antics than we Dolphin fans are. I respect a straight shooter and a supremely confident coach, but his sort of confidence, when it falls short, his fall is well deserved.
Guy is obviously a moron. Im not entirely sure what gives him the right to smack talk the phins right now. We swept his team. End of story.
Can't stand the guy but I'd love to play for him. A coach like that gets the motivation factor at another level. It's why they made it where they did.
I think he meant to say. "Everybody who owns a restaurant in Miami, I'm coming to eat here twice next year." Pretty good warning to make sure they're fully staffed.
I agree with the motivation part but his antics won't be so cute when the Jets struggle at any point. I'm in group that thinks Ryan will ge a good NFL coach but next year could tell a lot. I think the Jets caught some breaks to even get in the playoffs such as if the Colts had tried in Week 16 the Jets would have finished 8-8 at best and people would be talking about a season worse than Mangini's 2008 campaign. So I'm not quite sure sweeping Miami is such a sure thing although he obviously just loves to stir things up. I may like him as a coach and fear the Jets for years to come but the man needs to learn some etiquette and I really can't stand the guy as a Fin fan and hope he fails miserably and has to eat all his brash words. I still say the guy seems like a fun guy and his players do love him so I agree alen he'd be a great coach to play for. He's got all the tools for success and I'm really hoping the Jets don't become the Pats of the 10s. Honestly as a fan there isn't a coach I hate more.
I hear ya. The thing is, I've talked to high school coaches across the country and they all love him. They feel that he's very real, tells it like it is and doesn't just say what the media wants to hear. They also say that they would love to play for him because he has so much damn confidence in you.
I agree alen and remember I said I think he is a good NFL head coach but its still to be proven how good. If next year he gets the team back in the playoffs and they win another game or two his credentials get better, Right now I just see a guy who I believe is a good guy personally and a very smart guy (great with the media and the best defensive coach in the NFL IMO). However he still has to prove he's not a trying Colts team away from being a .500 coach. I just need more time with him and remember alen his players may love him but his antics in the media gets under the other team's skin which hurts the Jets. I believe it was Gary Brackett or Clint Session (hope I got his name right) who said on ESPN all the talk by Ryan really made them want to beat the Jets and beat them bad. I think you saw the same thing with Miami this yer and NE in that second game. His words may fire up his own team but they do the opposing team as well which is why I say over time he had best learn to not say such brash things in front of the media. In other words I think he has potential but I'm not sold.
Half the roster will moonlight as stunt doubles on Jersey Shore..Sexxy will begin calling himself "...the heart attack...".
I think he's great for the rivalry. But I saw it live and couldn't believe they gave him a platform like that in Miami.
Haha this attention starved moron again? Don't worry Rex just like this past year after we sweep you,you will be crying again.
You know what, I hate Rex Ryan, but this doesn't bother me because he was in Miami and it was obviously said in a playful manner.
His dad was an *** too.... I put Rex in the same category as his dad and guys like Jerry Glanville.......flash in the pan coaches, whose personalities become their downfall.
yeah well lard *** is a hypocrite. said our win was cause we gimmicked our way. we didnt win typical. yet w/o our gimmick they dont get where they were.
Well, keep in mind that it is logical to stipulate that the Jest ran the WC in games because they ran it so often in practice, for two years we had the edge on defending the WC because we saw it in practices, that advantage has been equaled by the Jest now.
I find it funny and fitting that he's wearing a "Showtime". Because that's what he is. All show (as far as the Dolphins are concerned)
But here's the thing, Sparano has ALL the positive traits you speak of, and none of this ignorant blathering....and yes, it is ignorance. He sure likes to cover the tracks of his short-comings with inaccurate trash talk....reminds me of a bully. This indeed will catch up with him. He disses anybody and anything that makes him look bad. This league has a very good internal memory, and it will come back to haunt him, repeatedly. What's he going to say if/when the phins sweep him again? Why is he discounting the Wildcat, and then featuring it. How does it look when his players follow him on the Wildcat nonesense and now THEY look like Morons as well. He's burning bridges and he doesn't even realize it. Oh yeah, he is also fat!!!!
So what. Go back and look at some of the teams that just "made it" to the AFC championship game. Some very impressive as well as some very unimpressive teams on that list. A lot of below avergae coaches have made it to the Conference championship game. Call me when they win a Championship.
Get what? What did you win this year? A division crown? A conference crown? A Superbowl? None of the above right? We'll talk when the Jets win something other than a trash talking contest. Last time I checked the Phins and the Jets both have nothing to show for the 2009 season.
Nothing to show except being one of the final four teams. Okay. The Dolphins collapsed down the stretch and didn't even sniff the playoffs. Now go ahead and use the "lay down" argument.
Oh so you get a final four ring now? All disrespect aside, the Jets won nothing this year. The Dolphins collapsed, the Jets backed into the post-season and got eliminated. Why is anyone supposed to be impressed with any team in the AFCE? Including the Dolphins. Sweep! Sweep!
we both won as many superbowls this year. "0" good luck with no free agency and a crap draft position. and please do me a favor.....and go back a year....and take all the things jet fans said about the dolphins "who cares? you lost in the playoffs, no superbowl, higher draft position" etc etc and put 2010 jets infront of them.
It's classic. If Jet fans want to gloat about being in the final 4 then go ahead. That is a losers mentality IMO. I remember when the Dolphins made the playoffs like 7 out of 8 years straight and got pretty far a few times. I never gloated about being in the top 4, 6, or whatever. As far as i was concerned the season was a failure. Period.
if he told it like it is he would have admitted when miami beat him. But instead he made excuses and gave no credit where credit is due. He's not a man, he's a punk. When you act like a punk eventually people are going to get tired of your ****.
They were playing with a ton of key injuries. Funny a lot of Jets fans can't stop whining that they had to go half of a game without Shonne Green but I guess when Miami loses their best offensive player to injury weeks before the season ends it doesn't count.
The Jets haven't even won the division yet this fat piece of lard can't stop running his mouth. Try beating Miami just once before you run your mouth about sweeps Fat Rex. You haven't swept any divisional team. Not even Buffalo. You were 2-4 in the East lard***. In the end the Jets offense is one dimensional, their defense can be had, and they are a worse than mediocre team in the AFC East. I would love to hear a Jets fan's excuse about why they were so bad in the division. I can't wait to hear it. People will quickly tire of his mouth when the losing starts. Whether it's next season or a later season it is inevitable. The players included.
