That's fine, but I guarantee Herbert is the best QB of this class. None of the others have comparable NFL abilities. Like I said though....I'm fine with anyone but Love, he isn't even a 4th round talent. So if we take him in the first....I'm ready to suck another 4-5 seasons if we commit to him.
He doesn't have the accuracy that I look for in a quarterback. He is too inconsistent in his footwork. Also, I don't trust any QB who could be a top 10 pick who goes back to school. Shows me he doesn't really believe in himself.
Dear Santa, This year I am going to give up on asking for World peace and ask you for a truly impossible task. Could you please get haters to admit that Tannehill was fantastic in 2019. It is not that they do not know it, it is just time they admitted it. Sincerely, Miami Dolphin fans everywhere.
With few exceptions (and yes we know one in particular lol), I think we understand he had a great year. I just wouldn't bet on him doing it again personally, though I don't really care if I am wrong. I was tired of him on the team and glad we are turning the page regardless, whatever he does from now on isn't anything I am getting invested in either way.
Hey Tannehill might break his arm in three places tripping over his dick in the shower and never play again. The future is uncertain... I am not guaranteeing anything with him... Just talking about the outstanding level of play he showed in 2019. Tannehill showed he was a top 10 NFL last season.
I haven't really joined in on the Tannehill question as of late. I will say that in the past I have been critical of his pocket presence and that he holds the ball too long. That said, I have also been critical of Grier and his inability to surround Tannehill consistently with an above-average OL. When we had the unicorns, Tannehill played pretty darn good. I credit the Titans for doing a good job of understanding who Tannehill is and protecting him so he actually had some decent time to run the offense. I also give Tannehill major props for getting it done and having a very good season. He's a nice guy, gave it all he had while he was with the Dolphins, and is someone I would say is full of class. I am not sure he has the ability to take it up another notch and will his team to victory in the Superbowl, but if he did, and as long as he didn't do it against the Dolphins, I would be happy as hell for him.
I essentially see THill the same as I see Cousins. Both had excellent years. I wouldn't bet the farm on either to repeat that success or make it as far into the playoffs as they did again. I doubt either fall apart entirely, but I also don't see either as a legit consistent top end QB. I can be proven wrong of course, but either way, I don't think anyone outside of ... that Guy ... really give a hoot either way anymore. He's not a Dolphin.
Etrius24's Law Etrius24's Law states that as an online discussion grows longer and more heated, it becomes increasingly likely that somebody will bring up Ryan Tannehill or Justin Herbert. When such an event occurs, the person guilty of invoking Etrius24's Law has effectively forfeited the argument.
We do have an entire Tannehill thread to keep all Tannehill talk. Since he is not a Dolphin anymore, it would help for all our sanity, that Tannehill talk stays there. BTW, I am one of the bigger Tannehill fans on this site.
Is it just me or do the opinions of QBs on this forum feel a lot stronger this year? Is it just because we're definitely in contention to pick one or is there something about this class that is super divisive?
Peyton went back for his senor year. Luck could have declared after his redshirt sophmore season and been in the top 10. I'm sure there are more examples. That's the only part of the post I'd really say has nothing to do with success.
I think it's the way the college season came together. You had a presumptive #1 pick in Tua get injured. You had a guy in Burrow who came from nowhere to become that presumptive pick. You have Herbert who could have come out earlier and been a top 5 pick. You have Hurts who left the team Tua was on, and some people like his skill set. Then you have Love....just no. No. No thank you. Hes athletic and nothing else.
That has nothing to do with the general statement you made. There is nothing wrong with playing your senor year or whatever year. Some people enjoy their college teammates and coaches or think maybe next year their team can win a championship which is once in a lifetime. It's just a ridiculous way to discredit someone.
