The cautious optimism is starting to increase it seems in the fanbase. Mike Dee said the game against the Patriots in a few weeks has already met the blackout requirements of 85% sold, and more tickets are being released. As you know, all the games so far went up to the final day before reaching 85%, including the Jets game, so this being a few weeks early is a good sign for them. And these tickets were actually purchased by people and not CBS or Coors or whatever, like the other ones. Though, I'm guessing they still might struggle a bit with the tickets against teams like the Seahawks and Titans. And if you're wondering, he was cryptic about the logo/jersey updates, but it sounded like something minor could be coming. He said that fans would be "excited". The deadline is in a few days before you have to put a request in with the league for that, so it won't be long before we know about it.
If we win this week and next week is not a sell out against the titans, it's going to be very discouraging on many levels.
Winning some games is the only way it gets better. Glad to see that the ticket sales are up for one game but for all we know it a good portion of those tickets were purchased by Patsie fans. It's going to take some time but there is a lot more optimism around this town. I always, and I mean always, wear Miami gear of some sort, and I'm getting hoots and hollas a lot more wherever I go...
People here are starting to believe in this team again. You never saw people wearing Dolphins attire at this point last year, but now everytime I go out I see someone wearing aqua and orange.
