OLB from Texas A&M This guy seems to be quite a combination of a pass rush and cover OLB to me, would come in handy against the Pats TE's and all the rest. Very, very quick player. Go to 2:40, he covers like a Safety. Not so much at :30, but that is Knile Davis who I like quite a bit as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdtKVe4Ikk0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfUlsnuwLGc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKLz_Ow6KL0
I've been a fan of Porter and like his versatility. Depending on how the board fell I wouldn't be opposed to drafting him, but I wouldn't want his basket to be the one we put all our pass rushing eggs in. However, as far as OLB hybrid types go, I'd rather have Chase Thomas who is stronger vs the run and IMO would be better at applying pressure from nickel DE in the NFL.
My preference is still for a complete defensive end and I'd be willing to draft Bjoern Werner wherever the Dolphins pick in the first round. He's an absolute stud. He has no real holes in his game. As explosive off the snap as anyone in the country, hand use fantastic, as much of a heads up defensive end as anyone in the country, tracks the ball and swats it down like J.J. Watt. He's an impressive player. Hard to see anyone from this class ending up better. Can happen, but tough to see right now. And if you lose him in the 1st round then Cornellius Carridine is a hell of a consolation prize.
