I hit the check if already posted so if this is already posted... I don't know what to say. Chances are I'll have been the one that posted it. Mogwai (yes, taken from the movie "Gremlins") are a post-rock band from Scotland. They play music in the style of "Godspeed You Black Emperor!", "Explosions In The Sky", "A Silver Mt. Zion", etc. most (if not all w/the exception of Godspeed.. and the spin off) were probably influenced by Mogwai. I'm currently listening to "Auto Rock" and was just listening to "Friend Of The Night". Both of which can be found on their album "Mr. Beast". If you haven't heard anything by these guys I suggest "Young Team" (because that's the only album I've ever heard entirely) to get you started. I love mogwai. EDIT: This is the video for "Friend of the night". I hate the term post-rock so much it hurts. I was listening to bands like Tortoise and Gastr Del Sol and June of 44 back in the 90s and hated the term back then. As for Mogwai, they're okay. Never impressed enough to buy their records.
