Jeff Garcia likely wants the Bucs to raise his annual pay to the league average for starting quarterbacks, or roughly $7 million. The Bucs have cap room and might give Garcia a raise, but going that high in an extension may not be realistic. He turns 39 before the 2009 season. Thats a little weak to not pay a guy after he leads you to the playoffs. I can understand that they wanted him to be rested or whatever but he deserved that bonus.
