In Aug we kept hearing about the body language of Cutler, and how it was infectious and cancerous. Even labeled him a disease. You guys see Gase on the sideline? He see his rolling of head, eyes and a similar mannerism? I saw Gase in TC about 5 times this Summer, he was running around, joking, catching balls, throwing and blocking. He was laughing. I believe your team plays off its leaders. He is young guy, but he has to change this soon or the team will continue to follow. He lacks energy, motivation and desire. Guess what? So does this team. Look how Rizzi is, that guy is a Redbull on fire. Look at Tomlin and Carroll. Man these guys are all over the place, they are engaged. I'm surprised no one mentioned this.
https://www.phinsnews.com/miami-dolphins-news-curious-post-game-response-gase/ Based on his comment there, I think you have to wonder if he isn’t so wrapped up in whether his offense is running like he wants it to, that he really can’t run the whole team effectively. If so, then he’s far better suited to be an offensive coordinator. He certainly wouldn’t be the first person to be promoted to his level of incompetence.
yeah sometimes the thing you like doing, like the article says, isn't best for the team. He is one stubborn sob, and I'm surprised because you get that way from being older. He was just an OC for a few years
The more problematic part of that statement in my opinion, that the article really didn’t focus on, was the fact that he said it’s the one thing he likes doing. Wouldn’t you figure he would like doing more than just that one thing in his role as a head coach? How well are you going to do the vast array of other things you’re responsible for if in fact you don’t like doing them? Like I said above, if that’s in fact the one thing he likes doing, he should be an offensive coordinator.
The evaluation process of Grier, Gase and Tannenbaum I hope is complete. Hard questions should be asked, about personnel decisions and salaries. Is Ross going to do this, or is it going to be Tannenbaum, which to me would be a crime. I think Miami needs veterans at OC and DC. Gase needs to learn more on the job.
